"Plenty of parking although can be competitive for spots in the weekend. Staff was superb, offering ideas of what to explore, and even helping us reserve at the full booked restaurant. Quiet from 11pm-7am when the church bells waken the town. Room was very good for a pencion and at night the sound of the ocean sooths the soul."

"This property is UNSUITABLE for pilgrims, despite its close proximity to the Camino del Norte. There were no washing or drying facilities for clothes beyond ones ability to improvise in the bathroom. The owner was uncontactable and did not respond to my WhatsApp message written in Spanish. They did not have a stamp for my Credencial del Peregrino to record my stay, a necessity to prove having walked the route. There were no cooking facilities beyond a microwave and the restaurant at the hotel...

"Had an amazing stay at Hotel Itxas Gain Getaria! We spend a few evenings in Getaria visiting family, and the hotel was the perfect location for the visit. The staff was very helpful, highlighting the different attractions and restaurants in the area. Rooms were clean and well appointed (the Nespresso machine was a plus). I'll be staying there again if I'm back in the area."

"Miguel was super nice to meet us at the villa for check in. He explained how to use everything in the house and even talked to the private chef we booked for a house dinner one night, which was really helpful. He was also very responsive when we had questions during the stay. The villa was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage and house our family for a few days. "The entire experience was absolutely fantastic. We had such a great time, and were only sorry that we hadn't been able to book more time here. The house is wonderfully laid out, especially for larger groups or if you had multiple families. Every amenity you might need. The views are amazing. We even walked down into Getaria one afternoon (the walk back up would be a hike, but doable! Best not done in the dark though). All in all, fantastic on every level. Would absolutely recommend."
