Beautiful, large area (500 sq feet) perfect for the relaxing getaway. This is a ground floor suite with no steps! Private. Queen sized bed plus queen sized sleeper sofa with top of the line mattresses. 55 in television with Showtime. Small kitchenette area with sink, refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. Tastefully decorated. Back patio overlooking the woods. Large hot tub. This is the perfect place to unwind. Nearby attractions include the Covered Bridge Festival, Little Italy Festival, County Fairs, 20 minutes from Indiana State University, and 30 minutes from downtown Terre Haute. 30-45 minutes from Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area, Turkey Run State Park, or Shades State Park (Waveland) where there is a large variety of activities to partake in-- beautiful hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, picnic areas, swimming, boating, and much more! An hour and a half from Indianapolis. Be our guest! For an additional charge, there's an upstairs unit available for larger parties. Not suitable for children.

Great stay in beautiful Indiana country
We celebrated a birthday in this beautiful place! The hideaway cabin was the perfect size for us and it felt incredibly homey and cozy. The hot tub was perfect and we had an absolute blast. Couldn’t have had a better birthday weekend so close to home! The hosts were incredibly kind and informative and we had privacy and were completely relaxed the entire weekend! Highly recommend this property

Was a great place. Owners were great people. Had a fun time finding, walking or driving, over quite a few of the covered bridges. Seeing old barns, the countryside and talking to the locals.

Cozy comfort with care!
We love the country so this was literally perfect for us. It was spacious for 2 (could accommodate more). It was meticulously cleaned. While the getaway is located on property, Lisa and Tony were hardly seen. But don't let that fool you. If you need anything they are right there to help. The getaway was cozy and had a homelike quality to it while also boasting the amenities you might find at a hotel and more. There were complimentary drinks and snacks, the hot tub was already warm and ready for use (we've been many places it had to heat up prior to use), there was even a massage chair that worked very well after hiking and a day at the different state parks (it is almost perfectly located central to 3 Turkey Run, Shades, and Racoon lake state parks). Lisa also had some recommendations in the guide book left for us to view, and without it I would've never had the best steak of my life (you'll have to look in the guide to find it :). I've stayed in cabins, hotel rooms and suites, rented homes, etc... on my vacations and little getaways with my wife. We both agreed that the Getaway is truly one of the best stays we've had overall. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're going to be in this area you should definitely cheek this place as a spot to stay. Just hope it isn't when we return because this is where we'll be staying any time we're in the area. Thank you so much for providing a hassle free and comfortable stay for us Tony and Lisa!

A Relaxing Getaway
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to hike Turkey Run and Shades, and our experience was INCREDIBLE! It was so peaceful, relaxing, clean, and beautiful. The hot tub and massage chair were amazing after a long day of hiking, and it was so peaceful listening to the birds in the mornings. We cannot wait to visit again and stay here!

Great Private and quiet place
The location of this property is excellent for touring the covered bridges in the area. The house is in the country but not too far away from a few towns. Host is wonderful and very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to stay here again.

My daughter and I were looking for a place to stay during our getaway hiking in Turkey Run. One of the "musts" we looked for was a hot tub for relaxing in after our active day. This fit the bill perfectly. The unit was clean, well-stocked and had a nice, updated feel to it. The hot tub was heavenly, and we spent most of our time there! It was very private. Lisa was super friendly, responded to our messages extremely promptly and made us feel that if we needed anything she would be right there. I found the bed and pillows to be a bit uncomfortable, but those are personal preference issues and extremely minor things in my book. Thanks for a great stay!

A MUST stay!!
This property is so private, so secluded, so beautiful and completely enjoyable!! We couldn’t recommend it more, especially if you’re looking to escape the daily hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet relaxing time with no interruptions.
