We felt comfortable and curious staying in a witness building! The top floor gave us an excellent view of the library and churches next door. People watching was lots of fun! The temperature was adjustable and everything we needed was there. It was also nice to have parking included for when we spent time in town. We would stay there again!

Second stay at this property!
This is the second time the husband and I have booked a stay at the Laura Martin house. Two separate apartments, but both have been a great stay. The owners keep the place super clean and both units have been comfortable! You literally cannot compete with the location of this place. Right in the middle of everything. We love it here! Can’t wait to book again! Thank you for having us!

Even though is an older property (1863) it was very comfortable, provided everything needed. Excellent A/C and the beds very comfortable. It wad hard for me to go up so many stairs but because I had knee problems and did not ask about stairs. Thanks.

Excellent location and very spacious. There is a leaky window in the main bedroom next to the large mirror when it rains. Only complaint would be the noise that the air conditioners made when shutting on and off. Overall very nice place to stay and we enjoyed being able to walk downtown without having to get in the car everytime.

Optimal location for walking about town
The location and off street parking are optimal. Who doesn't like to see Abraham Lincoln from their bed or hear church bells chime! Loved some of the historic features! The stairs up the apartment are a cool curve but a lot. A few little things...towel hook near the shower, hook for hand towel, WD-40 the squeaky door, more comfortable seating...would go a long way. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but really weren't in the apartment much over the weekend. Would highly recommend to others!!

An OK experience
For history buffs like my friend and me, the location can't be beat -- the building was there in 1863 and likely passed by Lincoln on his way to deliver his address. The unit has everything promised in the listing. But it wasn't especially comfortable. It occupies attic space at the top of the building. There was a good deal of street noise, which really didn't bother me much but could be a problem for others. Instructions on how to use to the TV controls would have been nice. For our purposes, it was fine -- we were out touring the sights most of the day. But I'm guessing I'll look elsewhere the next time I'm in Gettysburg.

Clean, simple space. Great location.
This was a very simple, clean space to stay in downtown Gettysburg. We loved the location and were so thankful for the cleanliness. Since we were exploring Gettysburg, we weren't at the place very much, but it wasn't the most comfortable. There was no couch to sit on, nor any "extras" that would make this a more comfortable stay. But the convenience of the location was worth it and our stay was just fine.

Excellent location
One of the coolest things about this property when you think about it is lying in bed in a house that witnessed the battle of Gettysburg and looking out the window at the statue of Abraham Lincoln. The location of this property was excellent. I was worried about it being hot in an attic apartment with the temperature being 99 outside. It was cooled extremely well !! Overall It was as good or better than I would expect from a 161+ year old house. The parking was excellent. I would stay here again. Thanks 👍
