Absolutely magnificent commanding views of the mediterranean from the rooms, bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff who all spoke both English and Spanish. To my mind it has a lovely sort of golden age of Britain feel to it, which made me quite nostalgic. It's probably fair to say that we had a four, rather than a five star experience overall, but Gibraltar isn't overloaded with very high-end hotels, so I can highly recommend it. If we return to Gibraltar we won't hestitate to return to The Rock.

Great views and incredibly clean. Very helpful. Dining at dinner was good but very slow in bar area. First night better than the second. The only improvement to suggest would be manager in dining room. I had to ask for everything and not overly friendly in the bar area. Decided to go elsewhere our third night. Other than that everything was very good.

This is a nice hotel, we really enjoyed our room which had a spectacular view out over the harbor at sunset. It's also worth noting that the bathroom and shower facility was one of the best we've encountered on this trip.

Great room with lovely view of the sea. Staff were friendly and there was free on-site parking. My only criticism is that we arrived at 14:50 and were able to do the check-in paperwork, but were told to return in 10 minutes to get the key. I can understand not letting someone into their room if it is hours early, but making someone wait 10 minutes—standing at the desk and then getting the key cards at exactly 15:00 was annoying.

An iconic hotel
Iconic hotel wonderful staff and good clean room and a wonderful powerful shower. The only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast, limited choice and birds pecking at the pastries inside the hotel. An excellent stay overall and would not hesitate to return.

The staff was extremely rude. We had difficulties findind the right elevator and the male British porter critizised us, was unhelpful, rolled his eyes, and did not offer helping us with our suitcases down the steps. Probably the worse staff we encountered in many years.

Had problems with the first room assigned and then the next room was a bit uncomfortable for a big person la myself. The hotel is in great condition and has great views of Gibraltar. Staff super friendly.

Lovely hotel and brea with my family. The check in however was terrible. It took from 10:30 until 17:00 to check in and get our room's. The bookings were confused with one of our party being in a room two floors away. They blamed hotels.com for the confusion which was not true. Great holiday, great hotel, terrible check in

This is an older hotel but fairly well maintained. First impression was it was the scene of an Agatha Christie novel, and I half expected to see Hercule Poirau at breakfast. Well situated to the cable car of The Rock. Parking is in the driveway of the hotel on a first come basis so get in early and dont move it. Nice place. Would recommend
