Nestled in the heart of the Pennsylvania at the foothills of Endless Mountains, we offer a rustic log cabin surrounded by 65 acres of private woods and a five-acre private lake, a perfect retreat for families, couples, hunters, anglers, and nature enthusiasts anyone else who want to get away from it all
The cabin itself is up-to-date with running water and power. The cabin boasts of an open floor plan with 1 queen bed, 1 single bed, 2 sofas and 2 futons. The loft has a double bed that would delight the younger ones. The cabin comes with a full kitchen which includes a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, and a stove/oven (electric). The bathroom has a shower and a flush-able toilet. Heating is provided by an electric fireplace and a wall mount electric heater. Sleeps 7 comfortably.
The beds have a clean bottom sheet. Bring your own bedding. You will also need to bring your own towels and washcloths.
The lake is stocked with Bluegills, Catfish, Bass and the like. Fish from the shore, dock or use our small rowboat and oars (Life Vests required - bring your own).
Outside is a large bonfire pit and a charcoal grill. Camp fires are permitted. We will furnish fire wood for a fee
This is the perfect cabin for a romantic retreat, family vacation, or a sportsman’s outing. Whether you are sitting on the front porch listening to the nature or watching wildlife walking across the front yard, hiking, or mountain biking on property or enjoying a dinner cooked over the fire, the cabin offers a beautiful, rustic escape. Plenty of room to roam the woods, and also to sit back and relax.
The cabin is close to city but very quiet and exclusive. Pets are welcome for a fee. Deer, black bear, grouse, rabbit, coyotes, bobcat’s squirrels and turkey are regular visitors to the property.
Amenities provided include TV ,a DVD and VCR, board games, books and unlimited local calls.
If you get bored with resting and relaxing you can take a trip to Wellsboro, PA to see the Grand Canyon, or head to Corning, NY to see the Corning Glass Museum, Rockwell Western Museum, or to Elmira for the soaring museum and glider rides. Waverly, NY has an Indian artifact museum that is very interesting. Finger Lakes Wineries, NY is a perfect day trip from the cabin.
The cabin is approximately 1/2 a mile off the main road and the access lane to the cabin is still a little rugged. During the winter months we are closed.

Different experience
We stayed in this property for a week and had mixed feelings.First 2 -positive: Location- near a decent sized pond, among trees(though the is a local road on the side of the pond); Fishing- pretty good ( though a lot of small pike and bass) Now-negatives: Very dirty inside(some spots- filthy)-cabinets,windows,corners,floor rags;sticky surfaces on touch, including sofas; No Wi-Fi:only limited connection from my 5G cell; No AC and it is very hot during daytime, only 3 floor fans Poor lighting( some light bulbs broken; Practically no live TV( no WiFi,and hooked air antenna is broken- we had to go to the local Walmart to buy some cleaning and kitchen stuff ,and air amplified antenna-wished to watch Olympics); Periodically awful smell from the septic, which feels even on the pond; Even though it was a private property-the were local kids(I assume )on one day, freely walking and fishing around the pond, making a lot of noise.. So,during this vacation we tried to relax and enjoy sitting, at times- fishing, at the pond, but we left this property one night earlier..

The place was just what I was looking for. A cabin in the woods plus a lake for fishing you can’t beat it. Very beautiful views I even saw a bear sneak up by the cabin one night I got a video of it. Tammy was great with communication the place was perfect for me I loved it. I’ll definitely be back. Anthony

Check in process we were told to call owner they did not answer or reply. When we got to the cabin it smelled of animal urine. There was bugs all over the cabin mouse turds on the counter. I had to wipe the counters down several times in order to get clean rags. I understand it is a cabin but when your paying good money to stay these issues should be non existent

Vacation Cut Short
Unfortunately, the cabin had a terrible smell like urine. Even with ventilation, it smelled awful. Property is not well maintained, dirty porch, windows, and screens. Needs pest service. We enjoyed the fishing, rowboat, and fire pit(broken glass.) We left a day early. Too bad because the property has potential.

Good Location, Bad Experience
For nearly double the advertised avg/night this property has too many negatives; it's not clean, and not maintained well. A fireplace is advertised, it's an electric light "flame." We had to do an initial kitchen counter cleaning before placing our things on it, there was dust & dirt behind/under all furniture, the screens were full of cobwebs and dirt, one lamp was falling apart with terminals exposed (I fixed that), the TV worked for a few minutes, the refrigerator was disgustingly dirty in & out. Mats were very dirty. Old is fine, dirty is not. BUT the worst part of the stay was the constant chewing, scratching etc. of the animals under the floor and above the ceiling. We didn't get more than a few moments sleep over 2 nights, wondering when some animal would be in the cabin. When reported to the host, she reported back that the prior renters had a squirrel get into the place while they were there. Had I known that I would have gone elsewhere. We could have had a reasonably good stay, and dealt with the other negatives were it not for the lack of rest due to concern of a confrontation with animals inside the cabin. We're animal and nature lovers, but not inside with us. We won't be coming back.

Very cute cabin in the woods- off the beaten path. Perfect place to unplug and relax. Cabin has all of what you need and we really enjoyed our stay. Large fire pit was great, fishing in pond was good, and the scenery is worth the trip. Will visit again!

Everything was as listed .
Had an excellent time, caught fish all day long , perch, cat fish, blue gill, just did a catch and release. Cabin was great. The only thing I'd like to see the owners do is dig out around the fire pit so it's some what level, it's on the side of a hill . Other then that it was great.
