"We so appreciated being right on the water and enjoyed the view from each room in the house! The sunsets were magnificent! The owner was available and responsive to the couple of questions we had. "The house is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The host was available easily and answered all questions in a timely manner. We loved walking to see the animals up the road and sitting out back watching the water. Definitely a 10/10!! A few notes: If you want dinner or drinks at the hotel up the road, call to see if you can reserve a table as they typically only serve hotel guests. "Beautiful scenery and nature, very charming house"

"Completely renovated and nicely decorated old Norwegian house, right at the harbour of Glesvaen. Situated right at the harbour with great views. Equipped with everything you need. Mr Cameron is a great host and has put a lot of work in this house. There is a nice restaurant/Cafe right around the corner (The only one in the area). Nearest Supermarket is a 10 Min drive, and there are two more another 10 mins away. You can swim, explore the area by boat or on foot or just relax and enjoy quiet...

"My son his wife and their two children loved our stay at the Borg residence. It was spacious, quite and had all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. We were able to meet with our friends and mix with friendly and hospitable people. It's refreshing to be in an area with no crime where people are laid back and inviting. Perhaps some day we wil be back and if we do come back we would most likely stay at the Borg residence."

"Sigurd’s home is absolutely lovely. The location is peaceful and beautiful, with a wonderful view. But more importantly, the house is spotless and equipped with everything you need to have a home away from home. We hated leaving. And he responded to any needs we had right away. The entire experience was easy and made is feel welcome. We enjoyed spending time there more than even driving around. We would go back without hesitation."

"Ein schönes. Haus in Traumlage, aber viele Mängel. In den Schlafzimmern ist nur ein Bett, kein Schrank, keine Leselampe, nix.Auf der Terrasse steht Schrott herum, ein kaputter Whirlpool, ein ausgebauter Kamin, rostige Grills, kaputte Gartenmöbel. "I stayed here with my family (2 adult couples, 1 10 year old) in late September. We got lucky with great weather. The house got a lot of sun - we made good use of the window shades! - and we soaked it up on the deck. Several of us enjoyed a dip in the fjord and a soak in the hot tub afterwards. We rented a boat from the hotel next door one day, and went hiking another day. It was a great place to relax and enjoy nature, and had everything we needed. "

"Lots of room, light and great kitchen. Just gorgeous back gardens and access to water and dock. Probably could be clearer how to operate the many wonderful amenities (W&D, media systems, pool) but the setting is the raison d'être! Wonderful place. "

Nice Place, But...

"It feels important to mention that the owner does not speak english, it is listed as a language they speak, but they don't. I received a message from them a couple of hours before we were due to arrive (after traveling for over 20 hours) to say that our bedding was wet and in the washing machine and we would need to dry it. Luckily, i found some more bedding which we could use, as we arrived after midnight. There isn't any internet connection, so we used mobile phone data to connect to the tv. We found a booklet and it was a list of cleaning instructions, which felt like the property owner wanted us to deep clean the whole place before we left i.e. 'wipe down all of the window sills' 'wash the skirting boards' etc. It is also very slippery outside when it rains, my son slipped over coming into the house and hurt his back (and he was wearing walking boots with good grip). The ladder leading to the roof top bedroom is a bit dangerous, there are no safety rails and it is very steep. The house is very small, so although it says 'sleeps 8', it is very crowded with 4/5 people (and only one toilet). A big selling point for me was the hot tub, but i was too scared to actually use it, there were strict instructions on using it and then washing and cleaning it afterwards, it didn't seem worth it :( I was very relieved that the lights on the outside of the house are on a timer, because it definitely helped me to find the place. Beautiful wood and scenery though. "

"Villa Oleanna is magical. The view from the room, the view from around the property is amazing and mesmerizing. The rooms are terrific, the entire property is wonderful. And the proprietors are caring, warm and everything one would want in a place to stay. Sitting outside with a capuccino looking out at the fjord as the sun sets--- Wow. We will go back as soon as we can."
