Good stay, but not a great first impression.
Let me begin by saying we enjoyed our stay here very much. The house was very comfortable with the exception of the bathroom. The first thing we saw when we walked into the house (I mean this quite literally as it’s the first thing you see when you walk in the door) was the tiny bathroom with a broken toilet seat. It was held together with tape. There is no fan in the bathroom so there was some mildew. We reported it to the management company. It took a bit to manage sending them some photos that they requested, but when we did, they assured us the property manager would contact us. He did not. There was also an overflowing garbage bin in the backyard along with garbage scattered around the yard. Also, one of the knobs on the oven was broken. We were able to use it though. The rest of the house was nicely decorated and very clean although the entrance hall needs painting. If these issues get resolved, this will be a good property from which to travel around the area. The 4 minute walk to the train station was AMAZING. Don’t worry, there is no noise. It’s an hour to Edinburgh and a very easy trip to make. Downtown Glasgow is about 11 minutes.
