"The host was friendly and helpful, but I suggest a review of the needs of a traveler be re-considered as the space is very basic eg no extra cutlery, glassware, plates or coffee mugs if inviting visitors to the room. One hand towel only was provided. Self - catering essentials to support the traveler were minimal eg no cooking spray or oil. No cushions, no extra pillows to provide additional comfort. Shampoo, conditioner and soap also minimal. "

"Really tidy and warm cabins (we stayed in August), perfect space for 2 people - underfloor heating was a big winner. Alex welcomed us warmly, great communication and gave great recommendations to suit our interests, even a spot to photograph aurora. Some noise noticeable through the adjoining wall and balcony with the neighbouring cabin, but not crazy. Quiet spot and handy to attractions in the area - we'd stay again!"

"The cottage is lovely and the owner was very personable. Our only disappointment was the breakfast provisions. We thought if we had been tourists staying in the Huon we would have expected some lovely local produce. Instead it was just Coles brand items. The facilities are very nice though and it was perfect for what we needed."

"The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

"The night away was about respite and change of scenery and that is exactly what we got at this beautiful cottage accommodation. It was so very clean, well equipped, welcoming and tranquil. The outlook, the gardens, the birds and of course the friendly cows who came to welcome us at the fence. I would absolutely visit again and plan to very soon."

"Best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The cottage was handcrafted by a craftsman. The decor is themed after Beaupre, the early French explorer (hydrographer), supported with a good number of antiques, collectables and hand knotted oriental rugs. The fit-out is top quality and consumables include everything imaginable from full scale sewing kits to snake bite kits. Wonderful, local breakfast supplies with fresh flowers and herbs throughout, complete the cottage. And don't get me going on how...

"The hotel is good, the rooms are modern and clean, staff are friendly, location is good, the bathroom is small so if you are a large person this will be tricky for you, parking in Hobart is difficult, the hotel offers parking for $15 per day, if you are parking in the street the parking is free between 6pm-7am and $3.50 for an hour at other times except Sundays, you require a permit to park there.
