"The property is 18th century and rooms are huge and decor is in tune with building. So close to bus route to city. Bus approx every 15 mins to centre. Buses back all through the nught but less frequent. David was perfect host, explaining how to get to bus stop, given main door key for easy access whatever time you get back. We went to tattoo so were back late. Great sleep, lovely huge bed firm mattress. Coffee and tea in room. Breakfast was excellent, full scottish breakfasr and cereals yogurts, fruit juice, toast and lovely coffee. Highly recommend this place. Not big hotel, nice guest house, perfect. "The hotel was a bit off the beaten path so we were a little uneasy about staying at the Marriott Edinburgh hotel. But there was a bus stop about 100 yards from the hotel. The 25 bus went right into Edinburgh and it took about 35 minutes which I thought was nice. The hotel itself was right in a college campus so it had a good energy about it. The room was great. The breakfast was reasonable for $10 pounds and the bar area was convenient. Would recommend if you don't mind taking a bus into Edinburgh."

"My family and I had a lovely time at the cottage. It was easy to find and sits in a beautiful setting. It was peaceful and cosy and charming. It's easy reach to Edinburgh also. I did a gorgeous local walk along the river and beyond. We felt very relaxed and at home and wished we could have stayed longer!"
