Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home, den with beds, living and dining room on an inland waterway near Beaufort NC, surrounded by the Core Banks to the east and the North River to the west. Enjoy your favorite beverage on our dock equipped with seating and a swim dock. Our property faces south on a body of water that surrounds pristine Browns Island with eagles and wild horses. Enjoy the sunset or sunrise as you watch dolphins swim by. Catch your own bait and fish for your evening dinner of redfish or flounder. Newly painted exterior entices you to a large deck with seating to enjoy the incredible views of dolphins, bird life, and glorious sunsets and sunrises. Launch your boat at a nearby public ramp just 5 mins away and tie off on our dock. These are tidal waters and water depth at our dock varies according to the tides. Please contact us about the tides in the area and docking info for your boat or check the tide charts. Flat bottom boats do well in these waters. Launch your kayak from our shoreline and explore nearby communities and islands.

Cape Lookout is only a short boat ride away. Ferries on Harkers Island and in Beaufort offer tours of Cape Lookout, the Core Banks, Shackleford Island, Shell Island, and other scenic islands in this land of Salt Life. Visit Capt. Blackbeard's home and museum and learn about NC's pirate history in Beaufort, NC.

We offer you the use of fishing gear, casting nets to catch your own bait, croquet, volley ball, badminton, horseshoes, and kites. You have this home all to yourself so you can relax in the midst of the natural beauty. We provide you with a downstairs master bedroom and ensuite bath with a king size bed, a futon bed and a twin lift bed (all in the den), a full size bed upstairs and a full bath, also upstairs. A 1/2 bath is located on the first floor. The beautiful waterfront is visible from 3 hurricane impact picture windows on the front of the home, located in the kitchen, dining and living room. A long driveway and garage accommodate your cars and trailers or RV. Trailers can be parked behind our shed as well. Up to 2 pets are allowed and must be flea and tick free. When outside, please leash your pets as our neighbors have dogs contained by an invisible fence. A $100 non-refundable per pet fee is required. Pets may not be left alone in our home unless crated.

We have a new cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine.
Note: Security cameras on the front and back of our home and motion detector lights are located on the exterior of our home as well. The owner's bedroom on the 2nd floor is not available for guests. This room is secured by a lock and inside we have placed a security camera. No one other than our guests, however, share the home during the reserved dates.

Peaceful Summer Vaca
This is a very relaxing home on the water. Perfect for wildlife viewing and fishing off the dock. The dogs enjoyed their time as much as we did! The hosts were very responsive to our needs and helped us make the best of some stormy weather. We appreciated that very much!

Great location and host
If someone is looking for a quiet home with plenty of activities nearby, this is the perfect location! We loved every moment there—a beautiful waterfront home. We saw dolphins while enjoying coffee at the kitchen table every morning; fishing at the private backyard dock every morning and evening (the host offered a crab cage and three-sized casting nets). Beautiful Beaufort Harbor and Harker's Island ferry (to Cape Lookout) is just 15-20 min away, and Atlantic Beach is also 25 min away! Kayaking, swimming in Sound, surfing at the OBX. During our stay, the air conditioner unit was broken. The host could manage a technician visiting the house on the same date (it was on July 4th!!!) What was most impressive was that the host frequently checked on us. We could feel how much she cared for her guests and home! Thanks, Cheryll, for hosting us. It was a truly relaxing family vacation for us.

Great getaway “All Accessories Included “
Wonderful house with the greatest views one could ask for. From the many species of birds, the porpoises and shrimp boats, to sunsets like no other. The owners are always in touch and check in couldn’t be easier. One of the best parts is everything is there, from linens and towels to dishes and utensils. The property is very modern and kept in tip top shape. Highly recommended,

SUP Getaway
We had a great time at this wonderful house in Gloucester. We come to the area for our anniversary week every year, with a focus on paddling. This was a great spot for it, with easy access to Core Sound, Back Sound, and North River. It's a secluded area and very peaceful, just how we like it.
