We stayed at Squeaky Shores for 5 nights & it was a great place for 2 families (9 people aged 20+) to get away. The location is remote, but not secluded. Neighbors are close, but it’s quiet.
The pool was nice & clean. But we encountered several hornets in the pool area. We wanted more loungers; there were 2, + a hammock, & a few other seats. They don’t have pool floats or toys but was big enough for tubes and inflatable games. We wanted some lights in the pool for night swimming.
The view was great. No dock for this property, only stairs to a small strip of sand at low tide. A large eroded area had been shored up, but not fenced off, and could be dangerous for children. We wanted kayaks, paddle boards or some way to enjoy the river.
The house was clean & big. When we arrived the AC was set on 80+ & took a while to cool down. Seating in the living room wasn’t comfy. We wanted a larger table for meals. The kitchen had pans and dishes that met most of our needs. Some pans need to be replaced. The fridge ice maker was very slow & we had to get ice. There were A LOT of spiders inside the house. Needs fumigating. Pool table was nice but most of the cues were broken. Couldn’t play darts because all darts were broken.
It was close to stores & restaurants. Walmart, DoorDash, & Amazon deliver there.
