Charming renovated cottage nestled in serene state park.

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"This cabin was special due to the fact that my boyfriend's family owned it way back in the day so it was really nostalgic for him even with all of the renovations. It is EXACTLY as pictured so no surprises. I loved the black & white scheme and I especially loved the VERY old luggage trunk on display in the upstairs (very nice touch!) We had a great weekend spending time on both floors and can't wait to go back in warmer months to spend time on the lake! "

"Beautiful cabin, extremely clean. Had a wonderful time especially just talking and laughing around the fire pit. Nice neighborhood and so quite. "

Quiet Cottage in the heart of Burr Oak State Park - #3

6.0 out of 10, (2)
"If I could give zero stars on this property, I would. The space was dirty/unsanitary, from the kitchen to the bathroom to the living areas. No amount of cleaning from the host could have fixed it. On top of that, we brought food to cook on the grill, that was listed. No grill (nor was there an oven), and we could not use the fire pit because there was a burn ban in the county. The host blamed me for not checking local conditions regarding burning prior to arriving. Do not book and stay...

"Good spot to lay down after your day is over. Typical camper on a typical campground. No complaints. Had a good time."

"If you’re desperate and need a place to park, there’s a good slab of cement for you. People definitely permanently live here in their campers too, and their arms length away from your spot, so be prepared to make some friends….the owner stopped replying to me so they don’t get a great review. I was looking for a place to camp, not a place to park, so please if you’re looking for the same thing, this is not it. I arrived, laughed, and left. Didn’t even get out of my car."
