Pool area, breakfast and dining on-site were all great. Pool would suit family, and breakfast buffet had lots of selection. Right across the road from a tram stop, so easy to get to and from. Mostly quiet. Interior a little tired and shower was too hot (struggled to change temp), but staff were great, bed was fine, and overall would go back. Easy as.

Breakfast was what u would expect. Room air con didn't work properly. Wall paper was peeling all around our 23rd floor room. Nothing to see around area. Had to demand a cappuchino at breakfast as machine broke down and was told by staff coffee was complimentary . They sell cappuchino next to breakfast area. Probably would not stay in this hotel again. As surfers paradise has so many.

the spa in the room and bath tub i did not like the staff attitude my partner and i walked back in early hrs of the morning and were court in the storm and were soaking wet and the night attendant could not even give us a towel, also when checking in we lined up and were served at 2;55pm and had to wait till 3;00pm to recive our keys which meant linning up 10 people deep again.

Check in experience was terrible. Tried to give us a low level room as it was ready when we had booked high level. The nicest staff are servers at the bar and restaurant who make effort to chat. The chef however very grumpy walks about sullen. The hotel looks sterile - no pictures on wall. No comfy bar area to sit - feels like a canteen. Lounge chairs at pool area completely uncomfortable. Check out was downright was downright disappointing - didn’t ask if we enjoyed our stay or if we’d be back. The guy literally said nothing as it was early in am. No robes in the room which was frustrating as most Crowne plazas have them. Good things - room was comfy and bath was big. Bathroom needed a good scrub though- bottom of shower door gritty. Our view was amazing and we couldn’t fault that. Hotel also opposite tram stop which is useful. Overall the friendliest staff work in the food and drinks area. Those behind the desk barely care if you are happy or not. We stay in many Crowne plazas and we will NEVER return to this one. They even had a make shift gym in an old restaurant? Few machines just chucked in a room expecting guests to be happy with that. Pool temperature freezing too. Overall very poor experience and we didn’t really enjoy our stay. Won’t be back and don’t recommend.

Staff were excellent at checkin, very friendly. Room service was nice and reasonably priced. Checkout at 11am is great. The hotel itself is dated and I guess that’s reflected in the price of the stay. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Linen is good, nice and soft. Water blasts from the taps and sprays everywhere. Street noise outside is very loud. There was an awful smell in the reception area. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls at the lift area. The bottom Carpark lighting is not well lit and I didn’t feel safe getting out of the car late at night returning to the property. We still enjoyed staying here. Brekky downstairs is handy when staying for events. The beach is just down the road, the pool area is spacious. And it’s close to where we need to go and avoids the traffic.

Our one-night staycation was relaxing and enjoyable. The ocean view was beautiful and the tram was extremely close. Kunal, the Manager, checked us in, and gave us amazing service. The breakfast buffet was really good, plenty of choice, excellent service and worth the price. Crown Plaza is definitely worth visiting again, and we highly recommend staying.
