7 Cross Street

4.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (252)
"A splendid step back into Galway’s past in this boutique hotel situated in a medieval townhouse steps from the bustle of Quay Street. Our tiny but cozy room was on the third floor — and please note, if you have any kind of mobility issue, this is NOT the lodging for you, looking out on Cross Street (with some attendant noise at night) — but the emphasis here is on “cozy”, because it was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were uniformly lovely, the included Continental breakfast very...

"Expedia screwed up, she has been closed since January due to her husband being ill and they never canceled us or let us know. "We stayed in the three bedroom room. Room was of adequate size and had a small coffee table with a hot tea pitcher. Breakfast in the morning was very good. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which had a lot of fresh fruit and also came with portage, yougurt and coffee. My companions ordered the Full Irish for breakfast and they explained that it was very good and it was a lot of food. Our food was included and well worth it We ate in a small, but nicely decorated dinning area. Hotel had a...

Atlantic View

4.0 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (94)
"We were in Ireland visiting family when we got stuck in Drogheda late. We called the hotel to see if they could help us out since we simply couldn't get to Galway that night. The hotel was very rude and didn't do much to help us with the problem. I understand having cancellation policies, but this one seems to strict. I went online and it was clear the hotel didn't lose out on a reservation since they still had vacancies. Oh well. "

"Lovely clean modern house. I booked a single and although the room was small the bed was a small double and very comfortable. Shower room a bit small but perfectly adequate.Breakfast was good and freshly cooked with toast but no yogurt or brown bread on offer. On the down side there was no tea making facilities in room. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return."

Luxurious 18th Century Historic School House

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (97)
"Just 50km from Galway and in the countryside, this home was a wonderful base for explorations from Connemara down to Limerick. We could have fared further but for lack of time. The home is quite charming, Brid gave us excellent recommendations for nearby eateries and had stocked the home with information useful to tourists. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is considering a visit while the home is available. "
