We booked last minute and so pleased we found the derby inn. Very helpful and friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.
We would love to come back in the winter when they have there log fires on in the quaint rooms.
Thank you for a lovely couple of days away.
What a lovely pub
The food was fantastic and reasonably priced
Parking was at side of pub in a quiet dead end lane
I could.see my car from the room
Staff very friendly
We had a lovely time even the Cartmel races was cancelled due to waterlogging. We visited all the surrounding areas which were gorgeous. The staff were very friendly, good food and it was clean.
Staff were fantastic. Very polite and very helpful, it's a really relaxed atmosphere and it just felt comfortable from the moment we arrived.
Rooms are nice, clean, comfortable. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and VERY good quality. Would/will stay here again

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Traditional country pub
Nice place, old fashioned pub but evening meals very restricted. Couldn’t order after 8.00 pm. And not very extensive menu, although what we did have was excellent. Room’s excellent very comfortable and clean.
Cold shower no food even though they advertised food noisy cold room dated room couldn't park in car park no TV channels should of asked for a refund was very very poor
Did not know what to expect as i had never stayed in a B & B. But what a shock i had. It was better then some 4* Hotels i had stayed in. The pleasantness of the staff when i arrived was excellent. The Room was clean. The shower was powerful and refreshing and the bed was to actually die for. Need to know where the mattress was bought. Food was excellent sunday lunch & breakfast.

Poor weekend stay
Meal ordered on Saturday night was poor. Burger the first time was undercooked, returned to kitchen and asked for a fully cooked on, this came back with cheese on which was not ordered and couldn’t be eaten by my partner. The third attempt came back and it looked good as though the cheese had just been scraped off. Cajun chicken ordered wasn’t that good either. On the Sunday morning the towels were changed even though they didn’t need to be, but the room wasn’t cleaned properly, tea spoons, cups and glasses were not cleaned or replaced, and the apple juice drink which was empty was not replaced. We will not be staying here again.
