Peaceful location with lovely views
The location is so peaceful and offers wonderful views of the countryside. It's in easy reach of lots of great things to do for all ages. The house was well equipped however the cleanliness of the property let it down a bit for us.

Lovely cottage away from it all
Rivercroft is tucked away in a quiet location with dark skies and wilderness on the doorstep, yet only a short drive to some wonderful facilities, cafes, pubs and walks. Very clean, with a well equipped kitchen and very useful boot room with drying rack. The welcome pack was lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub despite the temperature outside being well into the minus!

Peaceful Holiday
Beautiful cottage and the location was ideal for us as we were seeking a quiet and peaceful holiday. There were two walks from the cottage but these were mainly in quiet roads and not great for letting dogs off. Just a few minor niggles that the oven and grill needed cleaning (which we did) and the hot tub cover was loose

Heaven on earth
It was quite simply stunning. The location had everything. The house was cosy and beautiful, with everything you could ever need. The welcome goodies were a beautiful touch. The house was so good, it was difficult to leave it to take advantage of the amazing walks and scenery. We will be back.

Didn’t want to leave!
This was our 2nd stay at Rivercroft and again we loved it. Spacious, clean and very easy to feel at home in. So much so that we were fortunate enough to be able to extend our stay by a few days, many thanks to GNL and the owners. Not far from Aviemore and surrounding areas and everything you want to see and do but a wonderful tranquil place to return to where you can truly switch off and relax and simply take in the stunning views.

Lovely house in an amazing location
We couldn't have asked for more. An amazing spot with easy access to amazing lochs, rivers, waterfalls and mountains. Superb views from the hot tub. Very well equipped (more like a family home than a hot tub) You feel very close to nature. We saw hundreds of hares from the house itself, and an ermine stoat and deeper just a few minutes walk from the house. And the dark night skies are amazing for star gazing from the tub or garden. Couldn't recommend more

Beautiful Scottish retreat
The house was beautiful and clean. Kitchen very well equipped. We went in the hot tub every day and even saw the new year in in it. Perfect location being close to lots of places to visit including Inverness and Balmoral. Endless numbers of walks to do, some straight from the house. The information supplied from the owners was fantastic. We had a great holiday and didn’t want to come home! The welcome package was a very nice treat to arrive too aswell. Thank you!

A home from home in beautiful surroundings
Lovely house situated in the heart of the countryside. Very clean and dog friendly. Hot tub was a great bonus and was well used even on rainy days. It would have been nice to have been greeted with a welcome hamper with some basics; teabags, biscuits etc. Coffee machine would benefit from some updating with a more modern model. Also extra towels would have been handy. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Wow!
We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful house, within a gorgeous setting and a very hot hot tub. The only thing that was wrong was the very, very noisy heating system and the water pump. It sounded as if someone was constantly in the shower. An outdoor light would also add to the safety of our visit. There is one but, when the hot tub lid was up, it obscured the light so, it was a bit treacherous getting in and out. Apart from that everything was outstanding and 5 star!

Excellent all round, didn't want to leave!
Absolutely loved our stay at Rivercroft, the property was excellent and came extremely well equipped with everything you could need and more. the welcome pack was of high quality and enjoyed! the garden was brilliant for our dogs and felt safe to leave them roaming free. the hot tub was enjoyed every night especially by our two sons. Fantastic location for nearby places like carr-bridge, aviemore etc. loads of walks nearby and we especially loved the woodland at carrbridge along with the carvings. The overall experience dealing with GNL was brilliant and always replied promptly to any questions or problems. we would definitely recommend Rivercroft, the only reason we've not given it absolutely top marks is the pillows specifically in the downstairs bedroom were very floppy and unsupportive, would have been usefull to have a wardrobe in each bedroom as it made it difficult to unpack properly and there were bits that needed abit of tlc like the velux windows above the cooker where grease had collected but this is being picky, credit where credits due excellent place and excellent company to deal with, the App is an excellent and handy touch, well done GNL!

A base for exploring
On arrival met the pleasant owners who were busy clearing weeds and mowing lawn. They left shortly after. Fridge held together with tape and freezer compartment dirty. The whole accommodation is in need of a thorough clean, skirting very dirty as was radiator in kitchen. The hot tub lid is all frayed and outside rubber mat was filthy which we cleaned. Windows need cleaning and builders arrived at next door plot at 8.30 each morning which we weren’t told about. Didn’t obscure view but they are using digger and heavy builder work so detracts from peace and quiet. The property is spacious, but needs some tender loving care. Not 5 star accommodation. Three cars were in our party, all got lost with postcode given as it covers wide area. Taken down tractor tracks. Suggest ‘what three words’ is a must.

Nice Stay but Last Stay
We stayed at Rivercroft for a week in April. It was a return trip, having stayed there already a couple of years prior. The location, well provided accommodation and secure garden were major selling points for us. This time it was equally nice, Not much had changed besides some fresh pesky mole mounds in the garden. We didn’t use the garden greatly so it didn’t bother us. It seemed cleaner too but we were staying much earlier in the season so potentially not long after a refresh. We liked the big open windows of the living room and the utility room was great for sorting out things post hiking. We really enjoyed being so close to both Grantown for the famous KJ’s bakery and Aviemore for a bit more hustle and bustle. One major downside this time around that I must mention was to see that a brand new property was being built immediately next to Rivercroft. One of the key reasons we chose this place was due to it being quite well separated from neighbouring properties. We value that sense of space we simply don’t get at home. I’m sure the new place will be fantastic whatever its intended usage but I would not choose to stay at Rivercroft again because of this. Instead, I’d seek another property that doesn’t have immediate next door neighbours.

Kites, Pine Martens and Geese
3 generations stayed at Rivercroft and there was something for everyone. The house was well equipped, modern and fit for a family. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and our 4 year old loved the playing in the garden and the woods behind the property. Great value for money and attentive service from beginning to end. Thank you

Great week spent at Rivercroft
Great 5 days staying at Rivercroft. Such a fabulous house with everything you need for your stay. It's a great base for visiting the Speyside gin and whisky distilleries. The views of the sunset and sunrise are great, especially from the hot tub. The area is realy quite and secluded but just off the road so easy to find and easy to get to places. We ate at the Winking Owl and the Speyside Hotel during our stay and both were very good. We also visited Loch Morlich for the walk round which took about 2 hours but was well worth it. We had lunch at the Pine Martin afterwards which was well earned and delicious. The views were unbelievable. We went to 5 different distilleries with Kinrara and Glenallachie our favourites in terms of the staff friendliness. We spent a day at Landmark Adventure Park which the kids just loved and also Highland Wildlife Park which was a little disappointing for the price but in a beautiful location.

Beautiful stay in Rivercroft
My husband and I spent nearly a week here in late September. We loved everything about the house: the Jacuzzi the fireplace the gorgeous view the bedrooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. We had a little trouble with our shower knob and they did their best to help very quickly. we can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful House
We stayed at Rivercroft in July, despite the rubbish Scottish weather, we had a lovely week. The house is very well equipped and surrounded by lovely scenery, walls and areas to explore. We really loved the hot-tub and the log fire on colder evenings. The house was very clean and spacious and would recommend to any family looking for a week of calm and adventure !

Great holiday in a beautiful location
Rivercroft was spacious and very comfortable. We found everything we needed in the kitchen - apart from a good-sized cafetiere - and the views were fantastic. We walked along the lane and paths nearby, seeing curlews and a dozen hares! Lots to do in nearby places. We had the best holiday.
