We had a lovely stay at the Grant Arms Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bar area was well maintained and the restaurant served some lovely dinners and breakfasts.
Would highly recommend a stay at this pleasant and picturesque hotel!
Lovely bit of highland grandeur/history. Mostly just passing through for a local event so didn’t get the full experience. Wee bit expensive for room alone but no complaints about the standards/staff etc bar/dining facilities looked very pleasant
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the dining experience was great. Many other dining options and shopping all within a stone’s throw.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Very old, things have to be updated even in an antique hotel. Food was great
Lovely period hotel. Reception and bar staff particularly personable and knowledgeable. Nice comfortable touches and extras like the extensive wildlife and walking information.

We picked our location first and narrowed the choice of hotel to the Grant Arms and one other. We chose the GAH because it was an old, established hotel with a great reputation and ticked all our boxes. The staff were brilliant, great views & food and a well stocked bar.
An excellent hotel, the only one in the whole town to have the heating fully on, therefore it was very comfortable in the dead of winter. The food at its restaurant is also excellent, their chef is very talented.
Very well-run hotel with up-to-date conveniences and comfortable ambience. The room was great with a comfortable bed and well stocked immaculate bathroom. Pleasant dining room for full included breakfast and dinner. Plenty of space to relax in the lounge and bar with food available.

Two night stay
Very pleasant stay. Enjoyed the variety on offer at breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. Dinner menu was a bit limited and we ate out on our second night. Used lift due to mobility problems. Old type lift where users have to open and close two “doors”. If doors are left open by exiting users, lift is stuck and time and effort used to identify location and close doors. More prominent instructions needed on lift.
Beautiful old building, simple elegant and comfortable. Restaurant staff are especially kind and helpful. Tea time in the lobby is lovely. Bathroom is massive with an old tub for a proper soak after long walks in the area. Beautiful!
We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Grant Arms. The Staff are amazing and we received a warm welcome with our dog. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the bar and the menu was exceptional The food was delicious and the bar staff very helpful and made. A big fuss of Mack our dog. We will be returning.
loved my stay. Large room overlooking the square. clean and comfortable. kind of old fashioned as is fitting for the. building. I expected a small room with single bed but was delighted to have a large double bed. ensuit was rather small but that didnt bother me. Loads of hot water and big fluffy soft towels. Tea, coffee and shortbread replenished daily.

Liked: Cleanliness
The hotel was comfortable. Facilities are old. Bedding and towels were clean and of good quality.
It was quiet. Breakfast basic. Staff were kind and worked hard. Overall, it was acceptable considering the remote location.
The room was clean as was the whole hotel, Warm welcome by a French woman at the reception. Personal interior decoration with all the bird and wild life pictures and the corridor with bird song and brochures. Thank you. The bar area was cosily decorated but there was no one to serve drinks at the bar desk. Breakfast: The bacon and the scrambled eggs had been on heat too long and were not eatable (too tough). As a Scandinavian I missed rolls out of the oven or some artisan baked loafs and CHEESE, cured ham or salami. And boiled eggs. A substantial breakfast but not in our taste. The second morning we went to the nearby bakery instead. Dinner on the other hand was good and I especially appreciated that the menue was changed from day to day. Really nice!
