"Our stay here was fantastic. The cottage was clean, spacious, clean, and well equipped. The staff was very attentive, beginning with precise directions to get there and continuing throughout our stay. The hot tub was great and we had a couple clear nights for star gazing. "Just had a 3 night stay. The cottage is very well located with the sea and pub within a few yards away. Anne (the host) was very responsive and provided all details. The cottage was actually better than the pictures do it justice, new sofa and decor etc - Welcome pack was a nice touch and would definitely stay again."

"The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"Holly Cottage is a mix of old and new with plenty of space for 7 adults who went to walk and catch up with each other.The photos don’t quite do it justice. Kitchen is large and has absolutely everything you may need. Heated floor lovely in the winter.The lounge has an easy to light log burner, so make sure you use it.We didn’t move the cars once we arrived, as so many beautiful walks right from the front door.A 2 minute walk to the village pub The Crown, serving really good food and the staff...

"A perfect place for a couple and one single to stay in Sandsend. Very well equipped kitchen with all you could possibly need. The property was really warm and cosy for our New Year stay and the check in process using the key code on the safe box was so easy. You enter through a communal door - don't be put off by the entrance hall which could do with a bit of TLC to bring it up to the standard of the Beachside apartment - guess that is out of the jurisdiction of the owners of the individual...

"This is the perfect spot! Lovely, clean, comfortable. Has everything you need. We didn't spend much time here as we were out and about exploring. The location is perfect. There is a train station at the end of the road, so easy to get into Whitby to save the hassle of parking. And a really good bus service, which we used on the way back. There are also lots of other places around the area to visit, we would definitely book again if we were back in that area. "
