"oWe loved this hotel and intend to return one day, probably earlier in the year to see the gardens properly. Our room in the Uppingham block was clean, beautifully equipped and stylish (though I would prefer a brighter colour scheme!)and had a lovely view towards the lake and the original Hall. The food was delicious both at the buffet
breakfast and dinner, when it was cooked to order. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Likewise the cleaning staff we met.
All in all a nice, much needed, restful few days, only spoilt by the weather being awful on day 1. But it was late September, so not unexpected! It seemed an expensive treat, but probably good value for money.
