"An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. "This is our 8th stay here. It's a lovely lodge in a peaceful, rural setting with a few other lodges surrounding it. It is really well equipped, comfortable an excellent find. We originally came for the steam railway that's nearby but our son lives close by so it's convenient for visiting. Jan and Paul are great hosts, nothing to much trouble and it's always spotless."

"Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night. Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay.
