"We had a wonderful time at the Rockhouse! We were up for a gymnastics event at Harrah’s and needed somewhere that would fit our family of 5 and both sets of grandparents. This fit us perfectly! The kids absolutely LOVED the bunk room and the games. When we were at the house, they’d disappear to that room until we called them downstairs. The kitchen was great and roomy enough for all 3 of us ladies to get in there. I do want to let others know since we didn’t until we got there: the two queen rooms are on the main floor and have glass French doors between them. They are covered but it still made for an awkward feel for the two sets of grandparents to sleep. They made it work and we had a great time. I just wanted to point that out since it’s not obvious in the pictures or description. They do have their own doors to exit to the rest of the house. The owner is fantastic and easy to communicate with. We had to miss our first night because our gymnast came down with something, but thankfully she recovered quickly and we were able to come for the rest of our stay. Then a small kids’ purse got left behind and the owner was so kind to locate it and nail it back to us, making my daughter’s day! It was a great place to stay that worked for all of our needs! "

"We were a group of 14 family members staying before Christmas to ride the polar express. Finding the parking lot to park was a little difficult but once we figures it out, there were no further issues. The apartment was just as pictured and fit everyone great. There were some cobwebs around, but everything else was clean. Some of the furniture was torn up and the sectional couch in the great room slid around/seperated anytime someone sat or got up, but was manageable. A couple negatives to acknowledge:- the rooms off the back of the apartment were freezing, regardless of thermostat setting. We were thankful we brought extra blankets to put on the heds. - the thermostat is a smart one and was on a crazy schedule (turning down to 60), once we deleted the schedule off it, the apartment finally warmed up-The fridge in the kitchen is on the smaller side. Would be nice to have a larger one or a 2nd one in the laundry room - 2 bedrooms do not have a bathroom close to them. It was fine for the younger kids, but for the adults in thebking room, you had to carry everything with you otherwise you are walking through the great room/ kitchen to get to it-Need more lighting out back to see stairsSome positives:- Large space, we did not feel on top of each other- Kitchen well equipped, we did not need anything- the location is unbeatable! Walking to everything in downtown was great!We enjoyed our stay and despite some of the negatives, we would go back to this location again. "

"What a great home within walking distance to everything in Bryson City. It was my mothers 75th birthday weekend. We took her on a ride of the GSMR and enjoyed the town. The house was very relaxing and big enough to spread out. The residence had everything we needed. "

"This place was perfect. My daughter and I went for the Polar Express and this place was perfect. It is walking distance to everything! VERY CLEAN!! My 6-year-old gave this place a 10 out of 10! I love how it gives you the cabin experience with being right next to the town. I didn't have to worry about driving all over the place."

"The house was better looking than listed. Tons of room for 6 people. 4 adults a teen and a kid. It’s super close to the downtime activities and we walked everywhere. Christmas / thanksgiving time was better than expected. GSMNP is not far at all. 25-30 minutes to the gate. The owner contacted me as soon as messaged. The fire pit was a hit too. Will stay again!
