Tranquility Retreat - Serene Setting

Welcome to Tranquility, a studio apt. with Tesla EV charging station. Our cozy (perfect for 1-2 guests), well appointed studio is located above a detached garage (with an ultra quiet garage opener) w/separate entrance on the same property as our single family home in Old Irving Park in Greensboro. Enjoy complete privacy in a safe, quiet, wooded setting and still be close to restaurants and shopping. Ample parking in the driveway or on the street. We're pet friendly too!

Filled with contemporary original art (by the host and for sale), Tranquility offers a comfortable queen sized bed with high quality linens and towels. Star gaze from bed through the sky light above or even bird watch year round. Enjoy our Nespresso coffee maker (coffee on the porch or at the picnic table anyone?). To make your stay feel like home, there’s also a toaster, microwave and mini fridge. Assorted snacks, wine and craft beer is provided for your comfort at cost. Roku enabled TV and WiFi is available.

We love pets and most are welcome. There is a one-time $30 charge per stay for your furry family member. We only ask our guests to keep pets off the bed or couch. We realize this may be difficult but it really helps with keeping the furnishings cleaner and in overall better condition. We hope our guests understand.

Our guests can access the property by way of a lighted stone walking path. Access includes use of an outdoor picnic table in a private wooded setting.

We are often home and available to address guest questions. We also communicate via text or phone call.

Our neighborhood is safe, quiet and pretty! We are fortunate to enjoy living on a dead-end street so car traffic is very limited. Guests are a short walk or drive to several grocery stores (Harris Teeter, Fresh Market, Whole Foods) and local farmers markets, great restaurants and beautiful parks. Downtown Greensboro is just a short 10 minute drive and is home to the International Civil Rights Museum, local shops, bars and restaurants. We are also close to UNCG, North Carolina A&T University, the Greensboro Science Center, Greensboro Colliseum and the Tanger Center.

Perfect spot!

We loved our stay! Everything was so clean and welcoming! It’s the perfect location for visiting our daughter at UNCG! We will definitely be back! The place is decorated so lovely and the artwork is amazing! We were so comfortable during our stay and the picnic table was perfect to enjoy lunch together! Truly a gem of a place!

The studio was lovely and clean, in a very private location with access to a quiet garden / picnic table. The neighborhood was quiet and safe but with quick access to great restaurants and nearby major roads. Check in was easy and hosts were informative and responsive. Highly recommend!

Perfect couple (and canine) retreat

I loved everything about this place. The fall colors were beautiful. The place was clean and comfortable. The hosts were very nice. For the hot natured people that are worried about staying above the garage, don’t worry, the air conditioner is better than the one I have at my house 😍we will be coming back.

It was wonderful staying at this property. It is beautifully decorated, quiet, peaceful, and has the amenities needed for travel. The hosts were very gracious. I stayed there for travel nursing, night shift, and it was very quiet during the day for my sleep. I will be booking again. I wish it was warmer outside so I could have enjoyed the great porch and scenic backyard for my afternoon coffee. Maybe next time. Highly recommend.

Truly a little slice of tranquility.
Hard to describe how simply wonderful and peaceful this property is. From the beautiful setting in nature to the sweet, thoughtful and whimsical touches to the porch where you can watch the dawn listening to the birds welcome the day to windows that make you feel like you are in a treehouse, this lovely little studio is hard to top🌿 The thoughtful owners make communication a breeze. You’ll see wonderful displays of the owner’s beautiful art work as well. If you are looking for an incredibly peaceful place to rest, read, travel from, and lay your head at night you won’t find better!

Outstanding Long Term Stay
We stayed here for the entire month of February & could not have been happier. The property was every bit as nice as the pictures depict ... absolutely beautiful & very tastefully decorated & welcoming. The owners were very responsive both on the front end after booking & once we were there making sure that we had everything that we needed during out extended stay. They went above & beyond to make sure that our stay was nothing but excellent including proactively reaching out to let us know that the power was out even though we weren't there at the time (it was on by the time we returned). Great location with numerous restaurants within walking distance & every other imaginable amenity within a short drive. We have already booked another one of their properties for next year as we know they will go above & beyond to make it another great extended stay for us.

Thought Provocing & Welcoming Space
The first thing that stuck me was the elegent use of space. The cuts and configuration reflect a study in architecture. It manages to be both cozy and light. The loft above the garage reflects the grace of the adjoining house from the outside as well as what I would imagine is inside. The interior finishes are well done with just the right amount of supporting stone to elevate the high end feeling. The decorations are tasteful, interesting and somehow personable. The premises were immaculate, the neighborhood welcoming and the entire package highly recommended.
