"Hotel asked for credit card info on sheet of paper incase customer caused damage, even tho room fully paid online. I do understand reason.Tried to explain that Aus has national privacy law agst collecting/keeping personal info esp credit card info, their practice was actually violation. Owner got aggressive, insisted that is their policy and wanted to throw us out without listening. Didnt understand nor stop what he was doing to listen. Wasnt trying to be difficult, infact did hand over card info but tried to explain such practices was not lawful incase he didnt know. Was told off rudely instead. Disappointing. Wont stay there again even tho room was clean, basic, comfortable."
