"The cabin is exactly as pictured and gets high marks for cleanliness. It contains everything you need without being cluttered and that is something I truly appreciate. The location is great and not far from town. We enjoyed hiking but mostly just sat around reading in the cool pines. We will return!"

Originally the Groom Creek General Store

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (5)
"Very quaint, rustic cabin way up in the mountains, in the forest, with visits from javalinas and deer on a weekly basis. It had a nice big back yard for our dog, and it is very pet friendly. Big old two-seater swing on the back porch, like Cracker Barrel. The house is decorated with lots of kitsch (like a can of "Possum Soup" in the kitchen, haha) and it is very homey. But we had some problems getting it to be warm enough until we found the oil heaters in the closet .. there is no furnace. ...

"Gorgeous stay in the middle of pines! I loved waking up to snow the morning after we arrived and experiencing a cozy stay. Highly recommend this property for family-friendly activities. Kitchen was fully equipped, there are heaters throughout cabin for those chilly nights and we even saw deer and javelina passing through the backyard area. "
