This cozy, one-story home in Groveland, CA is a great place to experience the outdoors in comfort. With nearby lake access and games like darts and pool, plus community amenities, up to eight will have a memorable time here!

Located in the quiet Pine Mountain Lake neighborhood, you'll enjoy access to community tennis courts, golf, horseback riding, and a shared pool. Plus, this is the closest you can stay to the majestic Yosemite National Park, just 25 miles away, and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is just 54 miles to the north!

The house itself has a very comfortable vibe. As you approach the door, you'll find a deck with a bench in front, and a larger seating area in the back with a cushioned swing and a gas grill. Drink your coffee out here on a nice morning to admire the sunshine and the peaceful sounds of wilderness all around.

Inside, grab a seat on the couch or one of the reclining armchairs in the living room and fire up the woodstove or wood-burning fireplace to get cozy in chilly weather. You might enjoy watching a DVD on the flatscreen cable TV or gather the group to play a board game on the soft carpet.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook delicious meals, including a dishwasher to make clean-up easy. There is plenty of counter space and natural light from the windows, and the dining table in the next room over will fit everyone for a family dinner.

A bonus room provides entertainment with a pool table and dartboard. Kids will love hanging out in this room while the adults chat, or you might all find entertainment down here! Kick back and relax in the patio chairs in the back deck to bask comfortably in the sun or look for wildlife on a nice day.

Three bedrooms and two full baths make this home suitable for up to eight travelers. One bedroom features two double beds, a second features a queen-size bed, and the master bedroom has a king-size bed, plus a full private bath with a jetted tub. A shared full bath is easily accessible for all.

A private washer/dryer allows you to freshen up any laundry you may have, and you can use this time to find peace away from work. Use the free WiFi to stay in touch with your group back home!

This house is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a comfortable outdoor vacation - walk to the lake to sunbathe on the beach, swim or fish in the refreshing water, or rent a nonmotorized boat from the marina to enjoy other water activities. Nearby, you'll also find horseshoes, horseback riding, and more than 20 miles of trails for hiking and biking around the area.

For anyone interested in beautiful nature areas, Yosemite National Park is a required stop! Just a 25-mile drive will bring you to the edge of the park, and you can continue to the valley floor, where you can see El Capitan, Half-Dome, and take a drive or hike up to Glacier Point to see a breathtaking view. Giant Sequoias will tower over you in Tuolumne Grove, and you can learn about the natural history of the park at the museum. After all that, you'll still be able to make it home in time for a late dinner at one of the several dining options in Groveland. And if you're looking for a change of pace, check out Black Oak Casino just 27 miles north.

Fabulous
From the moment we opened the door I knew I have made a great choice. From the cleanliness to the complete kitchen set-up, this home is top notch. Pots, knives, glasses, utensils, blender. Then add a cabinet with soup, coffee, mac n cheese, marsh mellows, and all sorts of spices, it was just perfect. Thank you for paying such close attention to these details.

Nice foothills retreat
Nice place, great location. Very close to the golf course, plus in the home itself my friend and I enjoyed amenities including shooting pool and throwing darts. This place provided a nice leisurely weekend. Would definitely re-visit.

Groveland
This is a nice roomy home. Huge kitchen was a plus for us. Used as our base camp for Yosemite, the location was an easy 30 minute drive to the North entrance. Next time we come in warmer weather will definitely use the beautiful private lake. No cell or Wi-Fi available at the property as described but we went a mile up the road the local market parking lot and were able to use all our devices. The small local market MarVal was surprisingly well stocked with all items we we are used to seeing at our local big chain stores. Each day we were created by a few deer right outside the back window.

Good base for Yosemite
Large house, good base for visiting Yosemite. Nice lake and various activities in the complex. Feel that a lack of wifi (as mentioned in the booking info) is a bit inconvenient, but if you park outside the local grocery store you can get online. Kids loved the deer roaming around the area. I'd recommend that you bring as much food with you and fill up with gas before you arrive, it's quite expensive around here due to its location.

Not quite what we expected
Location is great - near the lake and all the amenities. We enjoyed Pine Mountain Lake! The house looked like the photos and was clean, but has fallen into disrepair. The kitchen is stocked well, and there is plenty of room in the house. The swing on the back porch is nice - good place to see deer in the morning.

Lovrly house
Really nice house in a really nice place. We had a great time. The only reason I rated 4 and not 5 is because it doesn't provide internet and there's not cell service in this area which is great to disconnect but it also makes difficult to plan routes or anything else for your trips during the day.

Relaxing stay between the pines
The house is cozy and has everything you need. Except for telephone reception. Buy a calling card or go to the cafe for cell service. We took advantage of the grill on the balcony, my son learned to play pool with his dad. We used the dart board and went fishing at the lake. 120 was closed to Yosemite but we'll be back once it opens. If you have to use 140 it'll triple the drive time. It was a very nice way to spend quality time with the family without any distractions.

Hidden fees
There were some hidden fees. On top of the rental price, there is parking fee per car, cleaning fee, booking fee ... Sure, some of these fees are noted on the vrbo site but not in plain view. And to make it worst, there are notes in the unit that sheet/towel cleaning is not included in the cleaning fee and we had to do laundry. What's the huge cleaning fee for? The unit was ok.

Very clean, comfortable and relaxing!
Overall we enjoyed the house. We loved the pool table and the deck and spent many hours enjoying those two things. The kitchen had everything we needed and was clean. We didn't like having to pay $50 in parking passes to use the house but that was the only thing we didn't like. There is no WIFI (unless you have Verizon) which we didn't like at first but we did end up having a relaxing time because we couldn't get our e-mails and stopped worrying about work. The area is beautiful and we were surrounded by wildlife everyday. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

Very big place for the price
Amazing place, everything was perfect. Only thing to watch out for is finding it the first time after dark. It's house number is kind of hidden and different then the other houses.

Very nice house; could use a few special service touches
We really enjoyed our stay - they house is spacious, clean, and the pool table was a great, fun addition. We didn't use the gas bbq, but it was large enough to handle a big amount of food. The kitchen had everything we needed and was clean. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and bedrooms. There were a couple of items that were troubling: 1) The beds weren't made; the sheets were clean and folded on the foot of the bed. I've rented many houses in the past and this is the first time I've had to make my own bed. Given the additional fee of $220 over and above the rent, I expected to be able to just go to bed after a long day of packing, driving, and unpacking. 2) There were two garbage cans in the garage, and we happened to be staying on trash collection day. When I went to put our trash into the cans and take them to the curb, the entire garage REEKED of garbage. There were no lids on the cans and the smell therefore filled the entire garage. I called Vacasa about this and they indicated they would contact the property manager to get lids brought to the property. Hopefully it's corrected before the next vacationer takes out the trash. Even though the above two items happened, it was still a very nice house and we enjoyed our time there.
