"We had a great relaxing break at Emma’s cottage. The location is good with plenty of options for restaurants and places to visit. The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended place to stay"

"The property could be amazing and is in the best location but it was very dirty on arrival and one of the toilets did not flush. I would say in its present state, it is not fit for rental. "We had a great week and this house, it’s a fantastic property well equipped for 3 families with 7 children all under the age of 13. The terrace and pool area were perfect for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine. We had a slight issue with the freezer that was dealt very promptly by the helpful and friendly owners. "Exceptional property in beautiful rural location. 18 of our family stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this delightful holiday accommodation. Superb pool, great covered/outside eating area, boules, table tennis etc. Air conditioning in one apartment building, thick walls and therefore relatively cool in the other apartment building. Really super stay. Note for English renters: Towels and toilet paper not provided as we believe is the custom in France."

Indoors the property is well stocked and the inclusion of fans in each room was very welcome during our stay. "This is a beautiful gite in rural Charente-Maritime. It's close to some really pretty towns and to a number of excellent swimming lakes. We are family of six (grandparents, parents, two children) and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all of us. "The hotel was beautiful and the staff beyond helpful.. Location was perfect in a beautiful street close to the main square and walking distance to everything. But you must be aware that its a small city ad taxi service is limited... i had to walk to the hotel from the train station and also on my way back.. all the taxis.were fully booked.. 1.4 km not bad but.with a suitcase is not fun... this not the hotel's fault... but you must be aware (the same is i guess for all hotels) "
