"Friendly bar staff to check in and the meals were great. Good water pressure in the shower except it kept going to cold unsure if it was because others were using the hot water off and on. Bed was lumpy and I awoke with a sore back. Electric jug was provided but would have to get water from the separate bathroom. No cups provided for coffee. Thin walls meant next door's tv was very loud. But it was a welcome bed for the night on our long journey."

"We had a pleasant night staying at the Grand Central Hotel but there was 2 small issues. 1. No fault of the pub but take ear muffs for a good night sleep. For a small town Proserpines main street is very busy at night. 2. Some advice for the Pub Manager please ad add curtians or block out the small glass panel above the doors of the rooms to block out the hall lights when they come on. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and food was lovely. Please g"

"The property is in a great position and I would definitely return. We stayed 9 nights. Our unit does need some TLC . Toilet sister needs work. Floors need a really good clean, especially bathroom. Had to buy several things to get thru. Was scared to use frying pan as handle so wobbly, so bought one. Even a wooden spoon would have been handy. We will return, but would bring more from home next time."

"We had a great 9 night stay in a budget cabin. It was quiet and comfortable and they cleaned after 7 days. It's about a 25min walk to town, or there is a 50c bus that picks up not far from the holiday park. The staff was friendly and they can help book tours. The only downside isnthat one of our burners on the stove was broken and the ac, while it worked, the flap that opens to let air out was also broken. My only note is that unit 17 seems to be next to some sort of machinery that runs intermittently, and shakes the entire unit at all hours of the day. I used earplugs and was able to sleep, but definitely a bit odd. Otherwise, this place is great - staff is friendly, there are laundry facilities, ample parking, + close to everything you need in town."
