"We are seniors in our 70s and 60s visiting Switzerland for the 1st time. We reserved 1-night stay in Hotel National Bern thru Hotel.com then decided to use Bern as base to do day trips, but at last minute no more room available thru Hotel.com. We reserved additional 3 nights thru Hotel National’s web site. During checking-in, Lady Tanja at reception desk looked at our physical conditions and offered possibility of 4-night stay without changing room. There were difficulties of two reservations in different room categories. With the help of her colleague Lady Malwina, Tanja patiently spent time to comb thru options and later informed us that the difficulty was resolved and we would not need to change room during our stay. The two lady’s warm help to seniors represents the high standard of customer service of Hotel National’s Bern. We have also experienced great service in breakfast room and daily room cleaning. Thank you. "

"Very nice property with friendly staff. Room has small amount of water damage from shower overflowing. Not their fault, but there is currently noisy construction right outside the room windows."

"Very clean, spacious and quiet. Bus stop is less than a minute walk, frequent service. I didn’t receive Check-in instruction email with check-in code, but the staff was there to help me (9am-8pm only). Other local train stations are in walkable distance (15-20 min) if you don’t mind walking. Great value to stay in Bern."

"Booked a twin bed room. Beds were comfortable and room good size. Continental breakfast was excellent. The food looked and tasted fresh every morning and they coffee machine excellent. Complimentary fruit, coffee and ice cream available at reception. Tram and buses just outside the hotel and train station is a 10 minute walk away.
