"This hotel is beautiful. It is up the quiet end of Sairee Beach but close enough to walk in to the action. The rooms are beautiful - just like the pictures. The restaurant is lovely - great food and a wonderful breakfast assortment. Both buffet and a la carte. "Loved the most the layout, design and location of the resort. The lighthouse design was so cute and like nothing we have stayed in before. There were only a few rooms on the property which made it feel secluded and peaceful. "The resort is on a stunning tip of the island and the snorkeling is fantastic. This is our main reason for the hotel. The breakfast was good and provided different foods for all tastes. "Located in extensive grounds and within walking distance of bars and a beach, this place is a, good base for a stay on Koh Tao. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom adequate with toiletries provided. The pool is a pleasant area with loungers, umbrellas and even a few kids toys, and the free pick up from the pier was appreciated. Wonderful service in a great resort

"Above all I would thank the wonderful staff, especially Dao and Rein, who were extremely helpful in every way. Their effort alone, to guarantee our satisfaction, is praiseworthy. Our upper floor room offered a majestic Western view. And given the number of rooms available we were astonished at how quiet the resort was. However, I must add, the steps to the upper rooms are quite steep, and given my ripe age of 72, I’d suggest that anyone with physical limitations be sure to clafify the room location - as there is no elevator. Otherwise our stay at Sunset was very pleasant and a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet spot, with a great view, away from the crowded beach resorts. "

"This property is nothing less than a SCAM. BEWARE OF STAYING HERE. long story short, the room we booked had no pictures on the website. When we arrived we were surprised to see that the room is dirty, built in a very unsafe and incomplete way. There were BUGS all over the shower which was not fully blocked from the outside. Sheets were dirty. When trying to reach the staff for an option to move a room the staff was rude and unpleasant. We ended up checking out ONE DAY AFTER CHECKING IN because of how underwhelming and inconvenient was the “room”. I sincerely recommend anyone to find an alternative and stay away from there. P.s While struggling with our own room we met another girl who booked 12 days at the resort, who had to manage a room where the shower has NO DOOR AND THERE ARE SNAILS ALL OVER THE FLOOR…."
