"Overall a really good stay. Apartment was spacious and comfortable in a good location which was quiet but not too far from the centre and local attractions. Only issues we had was a problem connecting to the Wifi which took well over 24 hours to receive a reply to our query and a couple of things would have made our stay even better, for example, a small shelf in the shower would be useful for toiletries and a kettle that doesn't spill! I would add that if you are after two separate single beds it doesn’t really have this - it is two single frames with one double mattress over the top and separate single sheets/blankets. "My son his wife and their two children loved our stay at the Borg residence. It was spacious, quite and had all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. We were able to meet with our friends and mix with friendly and hospitable people. It's refreshing to be in an area with no crime where people are laid back and inviting. Perhaps some day we wil be back and if we do come back we would most likely stay at the Borg residence."

"I stayed here with my family (2 adult couples, 1 10 year old) in late September. We got lucky with great weather. The house got a lot of sun - we made good use of the window shades! - and we soaked it up on the deck. Several of us enjoyed a dip in the fjord and a soak in the hot tub afterwards. We rented a boat from the hotel next door one day, and went hiking another day. It was a great place to relax and enjoy nature, and had everything we needed. "

Fabulous boutique hotel

"Lovely hotel, very comfortable, rooms are wonderfully furnished, modern heated bathroom with good strong hot water. Friendly and helpful staff. I had booked a deluxe with city view twin room but there weren’t’ any more twin rooms, and we downgraded to a deluxe room without views. The room was a bit dark because it looked into an internal courtyard but was otherwise extremely comfortable. Staff were apologetic and tried their best to find us alternatives, but in the end, we found the room more than acceptable, breakfast was wonderful with a good selection abd a nice a la carte menu, I can strongly recommend this hotel, and will want to be back if I am ever in Bergen again. "

"After a LONG trip, we dragged into the lobby and Inga was amazing. She upgraded our room (to Accessible - we're old and must have looked awful) with a view over the harbor to Bryggen. The room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good quality with relaxed seating. Central location made extensive walks around the city very comfortable. Happily booked another two nights to recover after our 12-day Hurtigruten voyage."
