"This cottage was right on the main road in Colonial Beach. It was very clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The outdoor area was relaxing and had a fire pit and grill. The location was close to everything in town. You could walk to the beach and many stores and restaurants. We love the area and hope to return soon!"

"We actually came by boat and had a great time. The waterfront restaurants were great, the museum was awesome and we didn't realize they had aquariums with a lot of the bay fish which made it even better. "Two couples stayed for a long weekend during an historical heat wave. And even with the heat we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with the shadinees of the of tree canopies over the hot tub and the very comfortable covered porch.The secured umbrella stand on the dock also allowed us to spend ample time on the dock, and some of our party also kayaked. The house itself was the perfect size for us (only the lower bath being a little small) and very well appointed. We will likely be back to enjoy some...

"Very quiet remote location with wonderful views of the creek. House is “new” with modern appliances and creature comforts yet comfortable and cozy. Plenty of room for even large groups to be comfortably together as well as secluded privacy when desired. Owners have thought of everything a guest could need . Communication with owner was easy and timely. Wonderful state park minutes away offering plenty of outdoor activities. Great experience"

"Very nice place. Plenty of room. Only problem we had was when we (4 adults and 4 kids) arrived at 9 pm there was only about 1/4 roll of toilet paper in one bathroom and none in the other bathroom. Thank goodness we knew someone local who could help us otherwise it would have been 40 minute drive to a store to buy some. Next time I’ll be sure to bring some."

"This house was perfect for our annual get together as a family. The house provided plenty of beds and showers, and gathering spaces. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the view of the river from the deck, fishing off the dock, kayaking and canoeing, and gathering by the firepit. We had a wonderful time."

"We stayed here for a wedding for our son. Our first interaction was with Ray, who is simply a delight to speak with. If you ever book this property, make sure to bring up baseball with Ray. The home is awesome. The pictures do not do this property justice. The backyard by thr creek is just wonderful. We took advantage of the kayaks. Overall a great stay. Would recommend this property to anyone."

"We had a wonderful stay. The house was just as described, a cozy cottage perfect for relaxing with beautiful riverfront views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the living room and main bedroom we used were comfortable, and the sun porch had great views where you could relax in the AC. It had a fully stocked kitchen (the best we've ever seen)& special touches like a welcome basket & soaps were appreciated. The boats, pool, paddleboard & game table provided hours of fun! "Location was great, quiet, and simple. The place was clean, spacious, and great for the two of us to enjoy relaxation right by the water. The outdoor patio was great and plenty of food options just a few minutes away. We had a great stay!"
