We enjoyed our stay. Kira is a very friendly great hostess. We had dinner there. The experience was totally worth it. The service was excellent and interaction with people from other parts of the world was great.
There is a really nice atmosphere, the staff are more than friendly, the lounge area and kitchen are great to meet other travellers and have a nice conversation. Thank you for a great stay!
Great location in terms of close to bus stop and train station. 2 min walk to the Open Air Museum. The community dinner is good. The only downside of this guesthouse is that the bathroom and rooms smelly really bad. They could easily fix this problem by using candles or incense.
Very good welcome, the staff were really nice to us. Everything was well explained and we were able to have dinner together over an indoor grill. Great!!!
We stayed here for two nights in one of the small double pods (up the ladder). It was a bigger space than we expected and quite comfortable. The walls are understandably thin, so be prepared to hear people in the rooms around and below you. There are earplugs provided, which is helpful. The staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our dinner around the fire! We also walked to a nearby onsen and found the location to be very convenient for exploring Hakone. Would definitely recommend!
A few minutes walk after the train, up a doable hill past the open air museum which is a great highlight of the guesthouse. The irori dinner needs to be ordered in advance with limited seating & was a sweet experience where I got to wear a pretty yakuta for the first time, I just didn’t know what was the right way to wear it. The staff were helpful, many spoke a bit of English or more & were helpful with things to do. I love the decor & the look of the place. Felt very rustic which was the perfect look for the mountains. Keep in mind traveling time as the cable car trains take a while due to being a one way scenic rail & many stops along the way. I highly recommend this stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff are friendly and helpful, kitchen for cooking your own pwn meals is useful, all oils and sauces provided too. bar area is nice. Bathroom facilities are fine, seemed clean. Coin operated washer and dryer is very handy.
Can smell because of sulphur onsens in the area.
Very basic but i guess cheap for the area of Gora?
Size of family room was good. Sleeping Mats aren't great, we doubled our up. But nosiy given agebof property, ok if other guests are considerate.
Great for getting on funicular at Gora to ropeway. Can actuallybwalk to Gora station in about 12mins.
Limited food options in area, so its good to be able to cook. Right next to Hakone open air museum, 20 min walk to nearest oublic onsen.

Ihana majatalo Hakonen vuoristossa.
Anbefales!
