"Lovely stay at an amazing old building. 14 adults and a 2 year old stayed for 3 nights for a family weekend away. Loads of bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge dining room and a large farmhouse kitchen meant there was plenty of room for us all. Beautiful garden and peaceful location. Don’t expect modern furnishings, fixtures and fittings and be prepared for uneven floors and very little wi-fi connection but it is warm and comfortable and kitchen very well equipped."

"Extremely comfortable home with a great sense of history. I booked for four days to take my four adult children and my teenage grandson away to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed some lovely walks and explored the castle and church. In the evenings we played board games in the cosy sitting room and the formal dining room made mealtimes special. We now have some very happy memories of our stay in Ludlow."

"The barn conversion is set in stunning Shropshire scenery. When we arrived we received a warm welcome from the owner. The property is warm and comfortable with many original features. There was plenty of room for the 11 family members in our group - lots of comfy armchairs, and pretty bedlinen on all the beds. The kitchen was slightly small for so large a group but we managed without a problem. There is a large Sainsbury's store within easy reach and we found plenty to do."

It is an old house on 3 levels, so quite a few stairs, but with plenty of room for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was our second time here."

"We stayed there for 2 nights with 3 kids. The house was really nice and clean in a picturesque village. A small grocery shop a few meters away as well as a pub. We had a problem when we arrived as we didn't get the passcode from the online company but the owner was in touch and sorted out everything within a couple of minutes. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended!!!"

"I stayed with friends and chose the Lion in Shrewsbury for the history and authenticity of staying in an original listed hotel. Our rooms were decorated nicely although the curtains in one room were tired. It must take alot to maintain a large hotel like the Lion. Bathroom not modern but clean with lovely white towels and toiletries and hot shower. All the staff were lovely, breakfast really good. Nothing was too much trouble. Its definitely not a glitzy hotel but the originality of the building...
