We stayed here with 4 adults and two girls 3.5 and 6. It was lovely. Very close to the convention centre where 2 were attending a conference, and close to shopping and many activities for all. A quick walk to the waterfront and many historic sites—right next door to Government House. It was a bonus that LM Montgomery had stayed here too. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots, etc., and it has a full stove, and full sized MW, DW, and fridge. There is also a new laundry set in one of the top floor bedrooms. There was lots of space for all of us with even a bedroom leftover. The large living/dining room was very functional, and we had plenty of room for hosting meals with friends we’d known when we lived in Halifax previously. We had a fabulous time, and Holly was a super host! The only caveat would be this is not an accessible property being 200 years old. We could all negotiate stairs well, but there is a flight of stairs to the front door, and two more long flights to the top floor bedrooms. There is one bedroom on the main floor and a powder room, but the only tub/shower is on the top floor. We did fine here with 6 people, but restricted mobility would be an issue with this property. Otherwise, it’s a gem!
