Spacious home nestled in the bush
Fab location of this beautiful house which has plenty in entertainment space and everything you need to cook. We stayed with our 2 children who loved exploring all the books, toys and activities and we'll certainly be back with extended family now we've seen all the bungalows too. It's a very quick (less than 5 minute) stroll into town as well. Plenty of space for parking, check in was easy and hosts respond quickly if you need anything.

Winter, lovely time to visit !
Enjoyed our first stay here so did a return visit. Whilst weather wise it was cold, inside we were snug and warm. Able to enjoy open fire with support from an electric heater which was perfect.House is roomy, outlook is peaceful and relaxing with wild life literally at your doorstep with a short walk to the shops as a bonus.

Wildlife Mecca!
As a pair of avid bird photographers staying at the Manna house was amazing. Bird art all through the house but a backyard full of birds and wildlife. One morning we watched 3 stags go at it in the backyard and spotlighted tawny frogmouths at night. The house is cozy, comfy and just gorgeous. Clean, welcoming and full of history. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Return to Manna House
Love this place. A wonderfully atmospheric cottage in a beautiful, peaceful and spacious natural setting. Clean, well renovated and maintained, while still preserving its historic character. This was my second stay. I got up before dawn each day and drove to various trailheads for day hikes, but I always liked coming back and hanging out in the huge backyard each afternoon with the roos, wallabies, deer, magpies and cockatoos (note though: the maggies are a bit pesty when there's any food in sight, and the crested cockies are genius rubbish bin raiders, removing lid locks and lid placed bricks with admirable aplomb). Excellent facilities with spacious well-equipped kitchen, lounge, dining, laundry (washer and dryer, with liquids provided) and bathrooms (x2, with ample towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry liquid, etc,). Choice of fireplace (ample wood and kindling provided) or air conditioning for heating. Electric blankets on all the beds with plenty of pillows and extra bedding. I had a great time and will surely be back again one day.

The best
Perfect spot for us and two grandchildren under 5. Spacious, clean, comfortable, warm, well equipped. Great location and enjoyed playing in the autumn leaves, watching kangaroos, birds (including or excepting the cheeky young magpie that took half a slice of Vegemite toast out of one child’s hand). Close to the playground and town’s amenities. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Best place in town
What can I say…. my girls will remember there stay here for decades to come, we had daily visits by Kangaroos, Kookaburra’s, Cockatoo’s and an old Magpie. Then we had early dusk visits by 2 foxes and a Deer.. At night we watched Netflix whilst roasting marshmallows by the fireplace and mused amongst ourselves how fine life is here. To top it all off a few Em’s dropped by the last morning of our stay when the Kookaburra (3), the Magpie and a few cockatoo’s sat on the front porch and chatted to my youngest daughter whilst she had breakfast. (No we didn't feed them). All up fantastic place to stay! Cheers Andy and Schnelle

Paradise in Town Centre
We loved the old holiday house with its rustic charm, surrounded by nature and wildlife but still in close proximity to the shops. We started the days having coffee outside with the birds, watching the rising sun light up the distant rock faces and we drank Margherita’s watching the sun set with our menagerie of wildlife. Absolute bliss if you can get past the quirks of a well maintained and well supplied, clean , old, rustic property with oodles of living space and charm. Will definitely book again. I miss it already.

Manna from Heaven
Wonderful stay in this roomy atmospheric cottage. Excellent facilities. No need to visit Halls Gap zoo as the backyard is a zoo. Saw two huge antlered deer just outside the laundry window at 5am one morning. Was that dream or reality? Shocked when I heard about the devastating fire that passed through Pomonal just days after we drove through the town. Strength and hope. I feel like going straight back and hiking the mountains again. Won't be long before I do.

Extremely pleasant stay
The Manna House was a wonderful place to stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting complete with wild kangaroos and deer. The home has everything you could wish for with wood supplied for the fireplace, a really beautiful lounge and bedroom area and a full kitchen. The bathroom even had a claw foot bath. The undercover carport parking was really appreciated. The ambience of this property is very special. We have stayed in a lot of holiday homes but this rates among the best. We very much enjoyed our time here and would be very happy to stay again. Halls Gap Zoo nearby is also well worth a visit if you are in the area. Thanks to host Julie for a fabulous stay.
