"Elite Hotel Martenson is situated in old town Halmstad and walkable from the train station. The central location provides easy access to restaurants, parks, cultural events, public facilities and a short bicycle ride to a beautiful beach. The hotel itself was very quaint, well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided another excellent amenity. Although we did not get a chance to use the gym it was probably one of the best equipped we’ve seen"

"While the hotel has a great location and lovely breakfast, the check-in experience unfortunately left room for much improvement. Me and my partner were met by a young man in the reception with a bad attitude. I asked when arriving if they had better rooms available and he said yes, I then asked to be upgraded as this is part of the hotel program I'm part of, and free upgrades when larger rooms are available are one of the perks.
