As far as checking in, if my son did not live in the area to retrieve the key before 7pm, I don't know how I would have gotten the key with the long trip I had had for the day. A key lockbox would be convenient to use only if you have someone unable to be in...

"The owner was there to welcome us on arrival and show us how everything worked. He provided flowers and welcome gifts which was a lovely unexpected gesture. The apartment was comfortable and the complex has an indoor swimming pool and private lakeside garden with access to the lake for swimming, etc. The complex also has launderette facilities."

"Perfectly located, nicely appointed apartment located on Ludwigstrasse in Partenkirchen. Great views of the Zugspitze and the ski runs and ski jump and located near wonderful restaurants and bakery. And free parking for one car. It was perfect for us."
