"Don’t let the run down looking outside of this hotel throw you off. Yes, it’s old but it’s also clean and comfortable. We stayed in a standard room with two double beds. And it was only for 1 night. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly."

"Everything was excellent. The breakfast was hot and fresh daily. The Restaurant is outstanding. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the room was magnificent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I slept soundly and woke up refreshed. The only thing was that on check in, the young man didn’t seem to know that they provided bottles of water in the room. He sent us up the highway to buy some. Enjoyed our stay immensely. I wish we could bring our little dogs though then we would book a longer trip. "

"Captain Thompson's resort is an outstanding resort. It has the best location of any in Alex Bay. It is within walking distance of everything. The view of the river and Bolt Castle in units on the main channel is second to none. The staff was very helpful and professional. The manager, Lisa, was exceptional! We plan to be a regular visitor every year."
