"We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of activities, crabbing was fun, fishing was great as well. Like any other place in America bring sunscreen and bug spray. It wasnt bad just enough to warrant protection. Great outdoor activities and will not have time to do everything. We will be returning next year to continue our adventures."

We spent 3 nights. 1 day we explored Chincoteague by bike and the second day we explored Cape Charles. We should have stayed longer to kayak and explore the creeks, bay and barrier islands. "It is pretty basic, but equiped with all necessities and nicely put together. A cozy cabin with a lot of history. No street noise, no neighbor noise! Just woods, fields and creeks and all their critters. Good place to write, read and rest. No screens. Best for a small family, close friends or a couple. Not much privacy amongst the guests, but very private from the rest of the world! My husband and I loved it and hope to return!"

"The property was as described in the listing. It was peaceful, relaxing and secluded. We traveled with our three teenage kids and dogs. The kids absolutely loved the pool and our dogs were immediately relaxed. We were able to catch blue crabs off of the dock, no luck in fishing but that was probably more us then the area. Would absolutely return to the rental. It was an amazing break from a hectic life. Thank you for sharing your place with us."

"My husband and I loved our stay at the Whimsical Cottage. We enjoyed the eclectic touches in each room. The view from the porch of the marina/water was beautiful. "We had five of us stay for a Biking weekend. This place was perfect. I can’t believe how clean it was and the extra touches like coffee, tea, chocolate on the beds and all the other little extras were perfect. First VRBO I’ve stayed at that also included a golf cart. We wish we had been able to take advantage of the country club as well. We are booked here for another weekend in October. Looking forward to coming back."
