AFrame Kentucky Lake in Pirates Cove

This property is in a resort community. Just down the road from Kentucky Lake. Complete with a marina, pool and miniature golf. The Aframe has a large deck built above the ground perfect for some leisure time. Its clean with 1 queen size bed and one full size bed. It has an air conditioner upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs is a sectional couch and recliner. It has one bathroom with tub/shower. Complete with stove, and refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot, charcoal grill, towels, wash clothes, dish towels, coffee cups, plates, cups,some cookware and utensils. Ouiet community. Complete with Cable TV, DVD player and wifi. 2 night minimum.

Just down the road but inside the Resort is a marina. The Resort charges a $10 fee to dock your boat at their marina. However, you can put your boat in free at Kenlake Marina or Johnathan Creek which is nearby.We also have plenty of parking for a boat or 2. There is a building outside with electricity to plug in your boat charger etc.
The resort charges $3 to use the pool.
This is a great place to enjoy fishing, hunting, boating, etc. Murray State University is 20 minutes away.

What i expect
If you're looking for 5 star accommodation this is not it. If you're looking for a very nice environment with lake access for a great price this place is awesome. If anyone asked me would you stay here again "YES".

Misleading listing
The listing included a marina with boat slip rental available. My interpretation of marina did not consist of a few uncovered boat slips with a questionable dirt ramp. The listing included cable tv. There was none. There was a roku, but no account set up. No remote for the Firestick or DVD player. The internet did not support streaming tv, constant buffering. When it rained overnight, the plumbing backed up. The owner advised to wait a few hours and the toilet will drain. The putt putt golf was under water for a couple of days and was in deplorable condition. Great potential, but obvious neglect. The light fixture in the stairway was broken, a satety hazard on those stairs.

A frame stay
The house is cute. Very dated, from window units and cords close to sink, to April 2018 people magazines on the table. Guest book also dated 2018. We had to switch light bulbs from one socket to another as light wouldn’t work. Dead bolt on front door didn’t work. Also, the remotes to the tv didn’t work except on Netflix. We had an emergency at home and had to leave before our 2nd night. I understand the place has been rented to us for 4 days, but a small refund would have been nice to be offered.

Very impressed with location, ease of getting in and the place was just so nice. I felt like I was at home, it was that comfortable. Dana was very easy to work with and was very accommodating to our need to check in early. I recommend this to anyone with a small group, or anyone that just needs to get away. I know I will be coming back.
