"We enjoyed our stay at Sivalai Beach Resort very much. The staff are kind, observant and diligent. The facilities are highly maintenanced and both indoor and outdoor areas are kept clean, even the beaches are being swept, an effort that are highly apreciated. And most importantly, the kitchen there is really doing a great job. In all, we had a really time there."

"The eco-focus of this adorable hotel shines through. The fantastic dinner was a delightful surprise, with local dishes I hadn't previously experienced. The service was delightful and the location is a perfect jumping-off spot for the Trang islands. The eco-consciousness of this hotel is present without feeling overt - really delightful. "

"Best stay of our trip. The resort is the best on the island as it is nice with a big white sandy Beach but also closest to the good snorkeling. The food of the restaurant was fantastic and we felt safe leaving money and Kindles and phones in our room and on the beach in the bungalows. There is not a lot of people on the island and it was really relaxing! Highly recommend it! I think the only drawback that I can think of is maybe not allowing motorbikes on the resort until 8:30 or 9:00 a.m....

"The hotel is in a beautiful setting in an ideal location on this tiny island. It is really idyllic. The hotel is a little tired but the pricing reflects this. We had a very comfortable stay. The dive centre was also located here. Transfers were also easy as the drop off / collection point was at this hotel. The staff were very helpful. "

"The owner for this property is just amazing. She is really kind and helped us get dinner on our first night stay. The delivered breakfast to our room early as we had to leave early for our ferry. The owner even drove us to the pier,so we could get our ferry to on3 of the islands. The rooms are spacious and good value for money. You need transport as restaurants and beach are 5 mins on a bike or car. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is a little worn but very big and even has a bath as well...

There is a lot of climbing up stairs and slopes to get anywhere, but well worth it and I suppose the clue is in the name of "Cliff" Beach resort. The majority of the other hotels etc are at sea level and further along this east coast, so many have virtually no sun during the day, whilst due to the height of the pool are here, you can get sun well into the afternoon. "We booked our stay 3 months ahead. When we turned up, the owner had no idea about our booking as they apparently "do not use Wotif" (we obviously booked through Wotif) and we're not due to open for the season until the next day. We then found the room that we were offered to be full of mould and what looked to be a blood stain on the pillow. Apparently during the off-season the bungalow rooves had leaked, causing extensive mould. They were then not able to offer us another room that didn't have...

Great location and stay - avoid the bar though.

"We had a great stay here. For the price and location, you can’t do better on Koh Lanta! My only complaint is the beach bar - they have 2 for 1 cocktails (220 thb) and we ordered one. They were so small you could literally pour them together in one cocktail glass and that still didn’t make a Norma size drink. We complained to the staff about it, but they did not care. Last drink we had there! As long as you skip those drinks, it’s a five star property!"

"This was a serene stay with fabulous views and a tranquil setting. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our villa was clean with everything we needed plus lovely dressing robes and sliders for the pool. We most definitely would return back here, the beach, shops and restaurants were a handy walk away. "

"This resort was a dream! The staff were so sweet and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The beach and pool were beautiful and great for swimming. The food in the restaurant was very good. This place was a relaxing escape from the touristy areas of Thailand. We did not have a vehicle but the hotel sent a car to pick us up and help set up a ride to the airport. If you were going to stay for more than 2-3 days, you may need to get a vehicle or scooter. We did not have kids with us but the resort appeared very kid friendly with a playground and kid friendly menus at the restaurant. We got amazing massages as well. I would totally stay here again, a nice relaxing part of our trip!"
