Didn’t receive welcome email with check in instructions Showed up at property at 3:30, couldn’t access the property or reach the host. Contacted VRBO and Expedia. 45 mins later received call from the host that he thought we weren’t checking in until the 27th, but our reservation was made over a month ago for June 26-30. Finally able to access the property 1 hr after check in. House was not clean, things broken (toilet seat, which we fixed temporarily, cabinet drawers in the kitchen, and bedroom door handles). Food left in fridge and beer left in the freezer that exploded and made a mess. Some trash left out back (beer cans and cigarettes). Dead lizards and ants, floors not clean, and dog poop out front in our parking area. Tried to host a small family get together (20 or so kids) and was approached and yelled at by the host who wouldn’t leave our porch until we made everyone leave the property. Property details clearly states parties and events are welcome up to 40 guests. Location was amazing, as was the beach location.
