"Property was clean. Toilet was dirty with one of the toilets not flushing. The pool is falling apart with tiles everywhere inside the pool and all over the outside of the property. Pool was very dirty and we were not able to use it AT ALL during our stay. The host was friendly and nice but not happy with the property at all. Do not recommend."

"We stayed at Dar Elyas from January 14 to February 23. One daughter joined us for one week, our other daughter joined us for two. We all agreed that the photos don’t do the residence justice!! The residence is situated behind two others, owned by Sofien’s mother. It is accessed by a lovely, groomed and landscaped pathway of about 40 meters. Total solitude, privacy and security. "Nous garderons de bons souvenirs de Djerba, des habitants accueillants et chaleureux, plus particulièrement du propriétaire de la belle maison que nous avons louer, de toutes les personnes rencontrées sur place. "Hotel was a great value. In the winter it’s too cold to swim outdoors but we brought tennis rackets and played lots of tennis, basketball and indoor swimming. The only thing that I didn’t like was that there was a smoking lounge inside the hotel lobby so the reception area always smelled like cigarettes. If the hotel would move the smoking area outside and away from the doors it would make the hotel much more appealing. It seems like a lot of the hotels in Djerba have indoor smoking. "

"The is our 2nd visit to Djerba and this hotel which a lovely small hotel with great atmosphere provided by the staff who are always friendly and smiling. Most of the staff can speak in multiple languages which makes things convenient. Great location right on the beach and near the best stretches of beach. Breakfast is ok as they don't rotate the buffet selection but there is a omelette station which helps. The hotel was quiet at times we were the only guests at dinner which we didn't mind. "

Well done Plaza Hotel

"Overall fantastic. A bit of difficulties at first but later things got much better and me and my wife enjoyed our stay and we wished it lasted longer. The lady at the room service was absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, providing us with info about Houmt Esouk. She makes this hotel proud. Mostafa, the room service was friendlier too. The food is absolutely delicious and to our taste. The hotel layout is out of this world and amazing. The swimming pools are very nicely maintained and the beach too with its lounge. I have walked along the beach to look at the other hotels but Plaza Hotel remained outstandingly nicer. Our balcony overlooks the side of the pool but the sea was right in front of us and it was nice waking up to that. I liked very much so the peace and quiet and the ability to sleep without any disturbances. The reception staff were also helpful and so was the guest relation gentleman who was all ears to any concerns. I spoke to many residents and they all share the same views and many of them if not all, it was not their first time there. Although I like the change but I would definitely go back there. I think they could do more to publicise their services as this is not well reflected on the website. I am surprised that I could not see English people in that hotel but from conversations we had with some at the airport on our return, we stayed at the best hotel. "
