The property itself is fantastic. If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-path getaway to relax and unwind away from noise and people, THIS IS IT. The cabin is adorable and comfortable and the views are absolutely beautiful.
As the other reviews say, you will not get to the cabin if you don't have 4-wheel drive. I will be honest, I didn't believe this at first. But there is no question, just don't even try.
The one and only issue we had was the check-in process. Supposedly you download an app that connects to the house lock via bluetooth with you arrive and you're in. Sounds too good to be true because...it is. We arrived late at night, as we drive in from 3-4 hours away after work on a Thursday. It was freezing, we could not get in the house, we had "spotty" at best cell and internet service. We called all numbers available for the property owners and managers and could get through to no one. We finally had to call the general VRBO help/customer service line and they also could not get through to the property owners the first two times. We sat in the VERY cold and dark for ~40 mins while they told us they were trying to find us ANOTHER PLACE to stay the night. (They actually had the nerve to ask if we could just go to a hotel....). They did finally end up getting in touch with the property owner around midnight and we discovered there was a combination lock box beside us with keys in it the whole time (this was never given to us as an option for check-in).
Once inside the house the rest of the trip was picture-perfect.
I would definitely stay here again, just make sure to have a secondary, more reliable, check-in option.
