"Everything was clean and spotless - room and public spaces. We were always greeted by staff when moving around the building. The food and service from the Laurel was also excellent. My only complaint was that one of my beverages didn't taste good. The White Russion drink was made with something other than Kahlua. The substitute was horrible tasting. However, the hostess did not charge me for that drink."

"Parking is plentiful, and reasonable. Continental breakfast has lots of reasonable variety. Although hard boiled eggs shouldn’t be peeled before they are put in a fridge. They get rubbery and don’t taste good at all. "

"I had a business trip to La Grande and wanted a hotel with character, this place takes you back in time, before you were born to experience a great place like our grandparents would have found. It just happens to be in Union which was a short trip. So, if you want something different than the standard corporate hotels, you won't be disappointed."
