Just a little further down the hill is the old Headlands Hotel, the laundry room is on the ground floor, together with a small library, if you want to book out the tennis courts (no charge), fill out the book in the hallway. The Headlands communal gardens are for you to enjoy and have fabulous views. There are benches and grass spaces to have a picnic overlooking the spectacular sea and stunning coastline. You can easily walk into Coverack, a small, picturesque fishing village with a stunning beach and beautiful harbour, there is a pub and a fish and chip shop and is in an area for water sports, windsurfing, sailing, and diving.
If you want to venture further from Coverack, just under 12 miles away is the nearest town. Helston is a small market town known for its famous Furry Dance held in May, you can explore the museum, walk around the local shops, or visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary where rescued seals are nursed back to health. For family fun spend a day at Flambards theme park, there is something for all ages and some of it is under cover if the weather is bad.
