Lots of potential - sweet, good location, dogs

Communication in advance and check-in were great. Local tips were good. Breakfast was good. The owner was very flexible when it comes to breakfast times - also he is super friendly Not so good: - the house is a dog house, cute but smelly - the carpet in the room was full of hair - the owner did an extra cleaning, which didn’t help much. This carpet needs proper cleaning after having been the target of a guest’s dog for one week - the pool is small but sweet, unfortunately there is quite a significant amount of dog poo on the lawn - the breakfast room smells of dogs, the dog pee as well - unfortunately the owner cannot be reached in between (we wanted to borrow the offered beach blankets and had no chance to find them nor him) Recommendation: please do your homework- cleaness is a hygiene factor

Die beste Unterkunft während unserer Rundreise

Das AmaKhosi Guesthouse war die beste Unterkunft während unserer 2 1/2 wöchigen Rundreise. Im Ort gab es Unruhen und alle Restaurants hatten geschlossen. Daraufhin wurde vom Besitzer kurzentschlossen eine Fahrt mit allen Gästen zum nächsten Supermarkt organisiert und wir durften die Küche benutzen. Wirklich ein super Service. Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch das Frühstück - eben nicht nur "englisch".

Host was very nice and flexible. Great place to stay in Hermanus, 10 minutes drive to good restaurants. We loved our room and the hospitality.

Nice property just on the edge of town

This is a clean and comfortable guesthouse with large rooms and bathrooms and a lovely wall courtyard outside of town. Breakfast is cooked to order- eggs and bacon or cereals and yoghurts. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The property is secure. I would stay here again.

Es war alles super, Zimmer und Pool war sauber, leckeres Frühstück, geräumiges Zimmer. Leider waren in der Nachbarschaft (direkt) sehr viele Hunde, die non-stop gebellt haben - leider auch spätabends und frühmorgens...

Very nice rooms and nice people

There are very nice people an a very tasty breakfast. The Hotel is a bit outside the center, so you have to use a taxi or own car to come to the center. The ocean is very close. Leider muss man zum Stadtzentrum ein Taxi nehmen oder mit dem eigenen Auto fahren.

Schönes Guesthouse, nur der Eigentümer hat keinen guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Nachdem wir unsere Koffer nach Check-out den Tag über bei ihm ließen, um noch die Gegend etwas zu erkunden, machte er uns trotz mehrfachen klingelns einfach nicht mehr auf, als wir die Koffer um 8 Uhr Abends abholen wollten. Gottseidank kamen andere Gäste dann an, da war dann der Eigentümer auf einmal doch zu Hause... Er meinte dann, dass man bei einem Guesthouse nur innerhalb seiner Check-In Zeiten erwarten könne, jemand anzutreffen. Aber mutwillig jemanden stehen lassen, ist einfach das Allerletzte und zeugt von schlechtem Charakter. Ansonsten eine nette Unterkunft.

Das beste Guesthouse unter deutscher Leitung, tolles Frühstück vom liebevoll gedeckten Tisch bis zum Service, vielen Dank Marieke. Schöner gemütlicher Garten..... einfach toll auch für längeren Aufenthalt absolut empfehlenswert.
