I struggled to sleep for two reasons, the rooms were so warm and when I opened the window to cool down, the road noise was terrible. "A very unusual, and singularly unique hotel with much to commend it. The welcome was wholesome and kind. I received help to my room with my luggage. The room was ok. A little tight, but well appointed and suitable for use. Clean, freshly decorated, well-appointed bathroom, excellent shower, etc. The bar area was buzzy with activity and the service was second to none. The drinks were great and the food was excellent. "

"Check in wasn’t great - there was no real reception and they kept phoning prior to the visit to see if there were definitely 3 people coming, when I had booked a triple room. Turns out they were doing work and we ended up with 2 doubles, which was fine, but don’t understand why they didn’t just say that in the first place. But good value hotel and very clean. Nice bar area."
