Exceptional home for couples or families
The home’s pictures and description do not adequately descript this wonderful mountain home! From many years of renting vacations homes in the mountains, beaches and islands this is certainly in top tier of our experiences. We loved the architecture, open plan with high ceiling and dynamic fireplaces. Large bedrooms and an exceptionally well stocked kitchen. High quality bedding, linens and toiletries were in keeping with a high-end hotel. Out host was great and responsive to ensue out stay was perfect. If you go to Cashiers do not miss this beautiful home for you stay. Reserve early!

Great home for our family vacation
We enjoyed all aspects. The screened porch with fireplace was our favorite part. Also the bedroom layout was ideal with a master suite on one side of house and another king bedroom and queen bedroom on other side for parents and kids. The kitchen was very nice and we cooked in every night.

Perfect area location + Pet friendly
Centrally located between Lake Glenville, Highlands & Cashiers sits this beautiful, peaceful home. Basically 3 suites on the main floor= just the front steps at entry. Reggie was super responsive and graciously pup friendly! Definitely planning to visit again.

Heaven in the Highlands
This property was even more amazing than the listing...if that could be possible. A stunning luxurious home, with every amenity one could ever desire. Beautiful decor, very comfortable, and enough space for everyone. The hosts are beyond generous, informative, and just so kind. It was truly heaven on earth and so thankful to have had such a wonderful visit.

The property was amazing, gigantic, and very accommodating for our entire family. Comfortable and quiet, the cabin felt like home. The views were awesome. The private community provided lots of privacy. A 10 out of 10 in every way!

Gorgeous home in perfect location
We had the best stay! The home is absolutely gorgeous! Every detail, from the grand, yet cozy aesthetic to the fine antiques throughout! The pictures do not do this home justice! We loved spending time on the swings on the front porch and taking walks through the beautiful neighborhood. Perfect location to the Cashiers town and Highlands. Reggie was exceptional and checked in on us! We’ll definitely be back!

Great mountain stay!
My husband and I visited for the week of Christmas, and we were not disappointed. The property was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked. Aside from several days of heavy rain, we enjoyed hanging out, and relaxing. We had a few questions for the owner during our stay, and he was absolutely wonderful to talk to - very pleasant and answered our questions promptly. I would recommend this home to anyone! We have been going to Highlands and Cashiers for several years, and this is by far our favorite place.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
This house was wonderful and so beautiful! We loved our stay and had a great visit. The house sits right in between Highlands and Cashiers and is close to Lake Glenville, so we were able to easily spend time in each of the locations! This was a special trip for my mother, who is partially handicap, so this house was great because it is mostly one level and was very easy for her to get around. We would love to come back and stay here again - thank you for sharing your home with us!

Home Away from Home
We were beyond delighted with our stay in this property! Reggie and Phyllis have created a beautiful home in the perfect place in the mountains and we felt so lucky to have found it!! The photos online just don’t do this property justice. The decor is nicer than many VRBO homes and the furniture is more comfortable. There is generous space to gather and enjoy family time in high-ceiling spacious rooms. The twin- master suite layout is perfect for two couples and the lovely extra queen on the main floor plus the loft beds and full bath afford even more flexibility. The bedrooms are huge! The Kitchen is large and so pretty! It had everything we needed for a cookout on the wonderful deck and dinner at the dinning table. We really felt spoiled with all of the amenities and practicalities taken care of before we could think to need them. When we had a problem Reggie was extremely easier to work with and sent his caretaker out to handle the issue right away. The temperature in the house was perfect. Even the water pressure was great! We enjoyed a fire on the screen-in part of the deck and loved feeling we were the only people on the mountain, surrounded by gorgeous fall leaves and trees. It was truly a beautiful place to enjoy a week of incredible fall weather. No rain all week. This is a perfect place from which to hike and explore, go to local rivers to fly fish, visit both Cashiers and Highlands to dine or shop play golf on public courses or just relax with family!!

Great house
Wonderful house, furnishings great, super stocked kitchen, very clean, and couldn’t have been more comfortable. Very roomy house with great porches. Only drawback was that the house was somewhat isolated but we loved our stay but one week too short. Would love rent for four weeks or more next year. The host, Phyllis and Reggie could not have been more available and answered all questions promptly and so so nice. Overall a wonderful experience!!! 5 STARS for sure.

Wonderfully relaxing week in the Mountains
My family and I had the such a wonderful time in the mountains this past week! Everything about this house is great! It is located in a perfect area between Cashiers, Highlands and Lake Glenville. We enjoyed exploring the many various hiking trails close by, renting a boat on lake Glenville, and walking around highlands and cashiers. Although the weather was quite rainy this house is perfect to enjoy reading a good book on the porch or playing games. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. We absolutely love the neighborhood and cannot wait to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful mountain home !!

Early Spring Chill
We had an extremely relaxing, chilly visit. Lows in the mid 30’s and we loved every second of it. The cool temperatures made hiking very enjoyable. The property was amazing and was even better in person than the pictures showed. Reggie and Phyllis have a wonderful home in a wonderful part of The Plateau.

This is a beautiful home in a fabulous location- easy driving distance to both Cashiers and Highlands. Our family thoroughly enjoyed hiking, zip lining and exploring during the day, evenings on the screen porch and nights spent chatting in front of the fireplace. The house is very well-quipped and the hosts were incredibly responsive when we had questions. We look forward to returning!

Awesome stay near Highlands!
Beautiful house with great views 15 minutes away from both Highlands and Cashiers. Wonderful setup, especially the fireplaces, great room, outdoor spaces and screened porch. The kitchen was fully-stocked and we used it every day. The owners were exceptionally responsive and easy to deal with with. If we’re ever in the area again, this is the house we’ll be in!

Stunning “mountain elegant” home with high end architectural features & furnishings. Very private, quiet setting. Cozy for two and spacious for hosting 2 other couples one week and a girlfriend group the next. Two bona fide master suites. Ideal location for both Cashiers & Highlands restaurants & shopping, close to Lake Grenville rec areas. Host Reggie wonderfully responsive and accommodating. Don’t be fooled by the “Cullowhee” address - a postal quirk. This is a secluded, high end CASHIERS neighborhood.

Summer 2022
This was the second time we stayed at Danfair and we loved it once again. It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. We especially love the outdoor fireplace and we are out there every morning with our coffee and a roaring fire. The home has everything you need, the four bedrooms and baths can accommodate ten people, although we didn’t have that many. There are two masters, which worked great for us. It’s in a good location right between Cashiers and Highlands and there’s a cute general store close by if you need something quick. I can’t say enough about the owners. Reggie is just the best! He answers all your questions and takes care of any issues that may come up and does so quickly! (Like Reggie, we need more wood). I highly recommend Danfair!

We had a wonderful week at Danfair during the Memorial Day holiday, and truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The community is quiet and picturesque, was relatively easy to maneuver and felt very safe. The home is so lovely and comfortable, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We prepared many meals and had all the necessary tools. Very comfortable furnishings, with many special touches. A beautiful mountain home!

Beautiful Home
We absolutely loved our stay, and our hosts could not have been more accommodating, starting with changing our original reservation dates to accommodate our changing schedule. The house and all of the personal touches made us feel right at home! Although it was just me and my husband, the floor plan and two master bedrooms on the main floor make it a great choice for multiple couples, and there is plenty of space on the loft for kids. The location was perfect. Located almost midpoint between Cashiers and Highlands, but perfectly quiet and relaxing!
