Tropical Garden Condo with Pool Kitchen, and AC

This remodeled air-conditioned condo is perhaps one of the best located accommodations in Hilo. Near the center of town, yet the grounds feel like a tropical zen oasis! Koi filled streams and ponds lined with walking trails meander through the complex. Minutes from the airport, farmers markets, golfing, shops, and over 100 restaurants! The complex also backs to Wailoa State Park where you can walk through over 130 acres of beautiful grounds and unique bridges leading to the beach at Hilo Bay!

Whether traveling for work, or vacationing for pleasure, we have outfitted this condo to meet your needs. Designed to be a clean place of comfort that provides outstanding value.

As you enter this two queen bed studio, you will immediately feel welcomed by the luxury amenities this unit has to offer. High-end memory foam mattress, fine bath fixtures, bluetooth stereo, and a private Lanai with bistro seating for 4 and Hammock all add to a wonderful stay!

A fully equipped mini kitchen with quality cookware, utensils, and tableware will please even the most discerning traveling chef. We provide locally grown Kona blend coffee pods.

You will love being able to enjoy the large heated pool, or walk along the calming Koi streams and lagoon that meander through the complex. You will see ducks, Koi, and many tropical fish.

Hilo bay is a great spot to take a dip into the ocean or relax by the sea! Local shops are close by for kayak and paddle board rental too! A few minutes drive can get you to Richardsons Beach which where you can swim with sea turtles and have a nice picnic in one of the many parks.

Rainbow falls is 3 miles away and the world famous "boiling pots" are just a little further up from the falls. Volcano National Park is only 45 minutes away! We are always happy to provide activity and sightseeing lists upon request.

Need to do some laundry? There are pay per use/app operated laundry facilities are on the ground level of this building.

This property is in a great location. Don't let the condition of the complex bother you. The unit is nice, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning is a plus. Very nice pool and view of the pool from the balcony. Especially enjoyed the hammock.Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean and well appointed, although keeping ice was a bit of a challenge due to the quite small freezer.Had a bit of trouble regulating the shower temp. At times it was only hot hot hot!! Not the best shower head as well, unable to adjust.Beach towels were not provided, something we have not experienced at other locations.Hosts were readily available to answer questions and assist with needs.

Quick Stay En Route to HVNP

Our family added a couple nights in Hilo to our Hawaii vacation so that we could spend a day in Hawaii Volcanoes Natl Park. This condo was a comfortable and conveniently located home base for us. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. Check in and check out was “contactless” which was super convenient. P.S. Highly recommend Ken’s Pancake House for breakfast. And Pineapples or Cafe Pesto for dinners.

This property was close to everything. We were 10-15 minutes from most beaches and dining (often less). Plenty of restaurants in the area. The beds got mixed reviews from our group of four-two loved them, two were less in love, but I think you will have personal preferences anywhere you go! The little kitchen was just big enough to suit our needs. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and listening to the birds was a favorite for all of us. The two drawbacks would be that there were no beach towels, so pack your own or plan on buying them when you get here as we did and the laundry is a pay-per-load with an app to download and load funds to. If you only need one load, you can’t pay for just one load. But, if you know what to expect the unit should be just fine. It made exploring the Hilo Side of the island much easier! Thank you for your hospitality.

Terrible stay at Tropical Garden Condo in Hilo

The shower didn’t work properly, water drained from the tap most of the time. Bathtub was moldy & nasty. The bathroom, shutters, lamp fixtures were very dusty like the place had not been cleaned in a while. The kitchen is tiny & no dining table or chairs to eat at. There is no AC like advertised, just some kind of air cooler which was very noisy. The pillows are hard as rock. The condo & building is in very poor shape. Very pricy for what we got. Do not recommend at all.
